This is a headsup to all with graphics and text in signatures. Mods are now discussing the size and content of signatures and it is still to be decided but the sig size will be drastically reduced for some of you.

So be prepared to get out your Photoshop or Gimp or PaintShop Pro and resize those sigs. Some of them are ridiculously large.

In this case, it's a word is worth a thousand pictures (especially as we keep seeing the same pictures ad nauseum). It's the content of your posts that's important not the same repetitive graphic. :)

Also, please don't quote long posts without editing them down to what you're replying to. Just gets confusing and lengthy and a waste of space.

If you're not going to edit it just hit post reply instead of quote especially when graphics are involved.

Tks

New rules for decorum on the forum are being finalized. How's that for rhyming?

Signatures will now be 400x75 pixels.

Signatures cannot exceed a width of 400 pixels and a height of 75 pixels. No links to other forums are allowed in the signature, but links to personal websites are okay. Furthermore, political and sexually provocative signatures are NOT allowed.

The first offense to any of these rules will result in a warning (severe offenses may result in bans), the second is likely to result in a temporary ban, and the third could mean a permanent ban and notification of ISP or server host. RACISM WILL LEAD TO AN AUTOMATIC BAN.

Asking everybody to voluntarily edit your sigs before we have to ask.

Tks

Sigs larger than 400x75 pixels or with additional text outside a 400x75 graphic will be removed in this forum.

The above sig size is the standard for SFN and there will be no exceptions so the rule can be applied fairly.

There has been fair warning about this for quite a while and warnings will be given for repeated breaches of the sig rule.
