-well i got to say that both red cards were justified and deserved,
-also raul got some heavy beating and like the refree just turned a blind eye,
-i must say we really missed ronaldo,

The useless player we have is robinho, sure he can beat players sometimes, but he can't finish at all. the reason he got goals at santos, were cause he dived so much, that he got penalties and he took them. Henry being world class, erm no. he plays well for arsenal in the EPL, but for france he is useless. Raul record is better than henry's in the CL. Raul record is 4 goals in 6 in the league, 2 in 3 games in CL. How is that bad? if he was the penalty kick taker, he would have more goals than ronaldo. WE need 2 forward players, but with our luck the only 2 that can play upfront are injured.

Indeed. Even though Barça is not in tiptop form either, playing badly causes problems. Maybe the biggest challenger is not coming from Barcelona this time as we see on the standings table.
Didn't Beckham learn from Rooney that the players are not the ones to give applause? That's what the home crowd do. Season's beginning's best player - Becks - missing game and Real being so dependent on injured Ronnie's scoring makes this so much harder.

Real make Becks appeal

Real Madrid have confirmed that they are appealing against the red card dished out to David Beckham during Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Valencia.

The England skipper was first booked for appealing to referee Arturo Dauden Ibanez with regards to a foul committed by team-mate Raul, before sarcastically applauding the match official, which led to him receiving his marching orders.

Beckham's imitation of Wayne Rooney's red card against Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League has made the headlines in Spain, with Real of the opinion that Ibanez's actions were harsh.

Real are set to hear on Tuesday if their appeal is successful and they are hopeful of having Beckham available to face Deportivo La Coruna on Wednesday.

Beckham's team-mate, Pablo Garcia, has stated that he too thought the dismissal was unjust - going as far as to suggest that he was on the verge of tears when the red card was produced just three minutes from time.

"I am not going to cry because we don't do that, but I want to," said Garcia.

"It is the first time I have ever seen such a fast sending-off. The referee wanted to impose his law."

Zidane isnt what he used to be, guti is a clever player, but he cant carry the midfield and turn games upside down on his own. I agree with the midfield bit you said, but raul is better than henry, you can compare the stats, so what if henry can score against those crappy EPL defenders, he sucks in europe, and for france. If you compare the stats raul averages 1 goal every 2 games anywhere you look, but henry in europe is a shadow of himself, he averages like 1 goal every 3, for france it is 1 every 4 games. Midfielders have better scoring records than henry in europe.

The reason we couldnt see this weakness in our midfield before was because of ronnie. His movement and pace made it easier for players like guti to shine, but now as he is injured, we dont have that pace, so the midfield is struglling, as they have to be precise, and we got play with a faster pace. That is where our problem begins, our midfield is too old to play with pace, zidane is 33, beckham is 30, guti is 29. We need some new young creative midfielders which can atlernate their style, making us unpredictable to the opposition.
