The checkerboard has been around since the middle ages and even previous to that. The Ustaci checkerboard starts with a white one if I believe. For someone who claims to know about the balkans sure as hell doesn't know his history.

True, I fail to see how anyone finds the three fingers of holy trinity offensive. Although to be honest I am unsure that the majority of serbs themselves know the true meaning. It appears that they/we have interpreted it as a sign of war victory over the past two decades or so.

Even so, it is NOT offensive (to anyone) if the person doing it is not in military uniform.

Thank you but i'll see what I can do tomaro. Even though i'm greek and not serbian I think what there doing here is wrong. But this is complete nonsence that must be stopped! This isn't fair to lock people out of their customs and beliefs! We as users need our voice and oppinions to be heard directly from the super mods and the admin himself to inform them what we think should happen instead of the high and powerful mods and super mods discussing everything by them selves in their secret forum! I say they discuss this situation more here and that we may have the right to believe in what ever and however! I know this is just a forum but this is a bit fascist which is uneccesary and to call there 3 hand sign as offensive is fascist and stupid.

Valdanito - What bothered most people about this is how you conducted yourself. It was simply take off the sig or get banned. You did not leave any room for discussion (your own words). If you're going to be stubborn and intolerant like that, don't expect to be treated so nicely. You handled this issue very poorly and as a result aliented a lot of posters. Not to say some people couldn't have handled themselves better (definitly me), but I think you certainly belong on that list as well. This never would have been an issue if you handled it properly.

Well the sig I was asked to talk off was a picture of the Serbian NT celebrating after making the WC. It is very offensive to me to ask me to take down a picture like that in a football forum. If you haven't even followed what has happened, there is no need for you to comment.

I expected and deserved to get banned the second time. I'm not mad about my ban at all so you don't need to defend me, even though I appreciate it. What's more of an important issue is why my sig of the NT was asked to be taken done in the first place. Some people complaining about it seems like a pretty weak excuse to me.
