Fenerbahçe fans are to be the subject of a documentary, being produced in the USA with a $120,000 budget.
The project, called "Takım böyle tutulur" (This is how you support a team), is being undertaken by Okan Altıparmak (son of former Fenerbahçe legend Ogün Altıparmak), Serdar Aksoy and Andreas Treske and will be given its debut on 25 November.
Around 280 hours of footage was gathered from the Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium as well as other filming outside, subjecting the lives of six Fenerbahçe fans and their passion for the club.
The real-life characters range from a housewife to an American. Altıparmak tells more: "One of the fans is a single woman from Istanbul, another a 23 year-old man, a telephone company worker, a jeweller and a primary school teacher.
"The idea came one day when I was sat in traffic and I saw a Fenerbahçe fan. I wanted to make a film with real people and their real stories making up the storyline. I presented the project to Aziz Yıldırım and said I just wanted moral support - thats what they gave me."
