tassos papadopoullos....well in my opinion he is playing a game for putting more money in his pocket...He never wanted to find a solution for the cyprus problem...In the talks of the annan plan we have an offer to put a condition that was saying to give as ammoxstos(famagusta) without any negotietions and all of our politics said to him to agree with the condition (with the condition not with the whole plan!!) and he refused! The result of anan plan was that cyprus stayed divided and the greek cypriots had to ristrict in tha half area of cyprus...as a result...all the propertys(fields) value were tripled.Papadopoulos has lots of fields in cyprus so....you can understand this....Anyway i'm happy for the "NO" we said but papadopoulos said that for other reasons....and now...in the negotietions for the "european" turkey ...Turkey said that there isn't any condition that if turkey get in the european community has to recognize cyprus!!! and papadopoulos accept that and supported them !!! ....that's why i hate papadopoulos (and of course all of our politicians!!!)

I understand what do you mean. I was happy too about the Anan plan deny and that made me think that Papadopoulos and his goverment are real patriots, unlikely the idiotic Greek politicians, but you know better about them for sure.

What does Turkey need the Cypriot land were Famagusta is in? Its preety much a ghost town therefore it does nothing for Turkey.

well the land of cyprus is too valuable....think that all the forces in the world want a base there cause it's in the middle of europe asia and africa...

Greek president of the republic Karolos Papoulias, officially visited Cyprus were he had also a meeting with Tassos Papadopoulos.
