Remember when Michael Thwaite was drafted into the squad and everyone was like "who the hell is this guy, how did he get into the squad and kisnorbo and coyne etc. didnt"

and then his sister came on here and was like "dont pay him out!" and now it turns out he really is a gun! One thing is for sure, he is a hell of alot better than Vidmar who must be replaced by Moore, Popovic etc. Lazaridis is better than him except I think Chipperfield had that role.

And Emerton goes while Bresciano converts to the right and Kewell slots in nicely. Grella also did a pretty good defensive job and may come in very handy in the away leg of the SA qualifiers

From what i saw of the game, Australia was working very well tactically and were constructing the play well. Hiddink has done a great job, however the defence is still a bit of a worry to me.

Also, the opposition were dogshit. Whats the point in playing Jamaica? Most of their players arent even league players, theyre a crap team. The only reason i can think of having this friendly is to compare against our last performance against them, otherwise its just a waste of time. We need QUALITY opposition.

We're definately looking better than we have in a while. But yeah, the defense is still a worry. Jamaica's attack is pebbles compared to the likes of Uruguay and the Colombias. Still should be happy with the result, and it looks as though Guus is making a positive difference.

Definately. Great goal too by Bresciano, what a ripper. Could have easily been 7 or 8 nil if we finished everytime. But that never happens of course, thats football. I think this is probably the best formation we've played too. More attacking football suits the team, but the defense is still cause for concern.
