Well, most people know my stance on wages. I dont think any player is worth that amount of money per week. However, if players like Del Piero are on that amount of money, then why should Becks miss out?

Anyway, at least the money is out of the shareholders hands, I mean, its not them who put the trophies in the cabinet is it?;)

Although i don't totally agree with players being worth the quoted 75000 pounds, I must sympathize with their demands for a fairer share of the revenue that THEIR talent, hard work and dedication generate. With the incredile amounts of money being payed for TV rights and merchandising,why should 'corporate fat cats' sit back and reap the benefits when it's the players who are creating the revenue. Good marketing is one thing but without onfield success it is nothing! I think Manchester United need to be careful giving in to Beckham's demands, as they could easily suffer a wage explosion. By the way am I the only person who thinks the amount of money Inter are paying Alvaro Recoba is ridiculous! He's scored 3, that's right THREE goals for the season! He's won nothing as a player, and has only played half a season at a crappy club who ultimately got relegated! Perhaps Beckham's worth 80000!!!

if beckham settles for 75,000 i wouldn't hesitat to give it to him. if he were to leave and go abroad teams like juve, and lazio would give him 100,000 or more. beckham is the best player in the english game and one of the best n the world and he should be paid as one.
