it seems there isnt much 2 talk about but the goal celebrations of ronaldo, roberto carlos, baptista & robinho with real madrid!! why make a big deal out of it? they dont go 2 the crowd & do wild gestures, they dont offend any1, they r just having fun & entertaining themselves, whats wrong with that?

even Cafu, the AC milan player is in favor..

"Captain Cafu, who plays for AC Milan, said he was in favour of eccentric celebrations.

"It's great," he said. "There are moments in the game when the player needs to get it all out, the tension and the stress of the game."

its about time they let it go, now because of this ronaldo said he might stop such celebrations which is sad because the way he celebrates is a joy 2 watch.......it makes us real madrid fans feel better

I agree. Colorful celebrations add to the joy of watching footie!! There should be nothing wrong with it so long as there are no lewd gestures made, or any obscenities.

But they are disrespectful to the team members right now. It is war between like the spanish and brazillians from what i hear. The spainsh more team celebrations, where as the brazillians are being childish. Personally, i think they should celebrate as a team cause it is the team that gets them chances, it is not a one man game.

soccerates, I fully agree.

I think people are making a huge case out of it cuz of the name "Ronaldo" you know when you're that good, people would try to find anything to fault you or mess up with your mind. If it was just Babtista and Carlos? no one would really care but since Ronaldo is there!!! expect alot of this.

Though as a Ronaldo fan, I dislike the celebration myslef not that its bad?? lol, its becuase I like the other celebration better where he points and shake his finger :D

On the pitch players with the names of Ronaldo etc.. should be setting examples.

though it's a lil bit selfishness of Real's Brazilians to celebrate the goal only wit' the players of same nationality...

The media is making it a big deal as they have nothing else to say against Real since we have won every single game recently.

Exactly, just jealousy! I dont see whats the big deal of this celebration at all??

These guys are just having fun out there, and we know well Brasilian like to entertain fans on-the-field when playing and celebrating.

But you forget, ronaldo is a huge rolemodel to people. I think if it seems like it is disrespectful to opponents and team mates, it should stop. Personally, i like his normal celebration.

It's obvious that they are offending people so it should be put to a stop.

Look at it from all points of views people.

1st of all those who r saying that its selfish that only brazilians r celebrating & not celebrating like a team, i think its wrong, because i am sure ronaldo & the brazilian gang wouldnt mind if any1 joined them in their celebrations, so its about choice & others dont want 2 thats all, and that also doesnt mean they r unhappy, infact look at becks after the goals, he is as happy as the brazilians but just doesnt join them so i think its being blown out of proportions saying there is an internal war btwn brazilians & others because even helguera who openly criticized the celebrations was joking about it, so its nothing serious.

secondly in reply 2 "Okavango", i dont think they r offending people at all, even if u look at it from the other team's perspective because they dont point 2 the crowd, they dont do wild gestures against them, but they r having fun within themselves which is perfectly fine

What do you mean, if you read the comments, carlos pushed helguera away. i think that means they dont want him to celebrate with them. Plus they are offending people, they are offending players in their own team, how can that be good for a team?

lallan, I don't mean to be offensive, but you've got no idea what you are talking about. It's obvious that it is offensive to other teams and players on the Real Madrid. Helguera has expressed his dislike towards it and coaches for other teams find it rude.

If a celebration is offensive in any way, it should not be allowed. Pretty simple, is it not?

if you think that, then 90 percent of all celevrations in the game of football should not be allowed.

In Manchester United, the players silence the crowds when they are at away games, and then hold their hands behind their ears saying "we can't hear you?". etc etc etc..

Ronaldo and Real Madrid are being criticized simply because we are the best in the world and that we aren't full blooded white. It's all racism and that is the only thing wrong here not the celebrations.

People who can't bear the fact that we are getting back to our winning ways try to attack us on our celebrations. It's pretty pathetic.

well they said they would stop it so lets drop the topic,
dont get me wrong i still think its ok , but they should involve the other members in the team also

Don't be so arrogant. Not everything is about race/color.

It's not Ronaldo and Real Madrid they are mad at, they are unhappy with the Brasilians who are preforming the celebrations.

It's obvious that not all celebrations offend other teams, or players, but these are, so there inlys the problem.

Does dancing like a donkey then falling on the ground and moving like a cockroach(the celebration names) offend the opposing team or make fun of yourself?

To me it's making fun of yourself and having fun at it, if another team did that to me I wouldn't care because it has nothing to do with me and it isn't intended to me. But celebrations like "hushing" the crowd like C.Ronaldo and Rooney from ManUtd are personal and the media dosn't say a word.

Helguera even said the main reason he was angry was because he wasn't included in the celebration. And then he went on about saying it offended the other club.

Sure the celebrations were a little silly but still fun, the amount of anger towards it is simply ridiculous and ignorant of the fact that there is no offense intended as said by Ronaldo and Carlos themselves.

Well not that it should be not allowed but it is just should be limited))))
not that "shaky" thing that all brazilians do when they score, team celebration, this is what should be :)

Obviously it does.

Different league and media, can't truely compare the two, but I suppose you make a valid point there.

-"It offended the other club." He has every right to be angry, they exclude all Spanish players on a spanish based club to mock the other team, in some odd sense.

Truelly, no point in discussing it anymore so let's drop it.

The only people that complain are the sore losers, I dont see Real Madrid or its fans complaning... except for Helguera who said he doesn't like it. Made him feel not part of the team... someone give him a teddy bear :alien:
