Real Madrid want a beefier Robinho
Real Madrid coaching staff want star signing Robinho to PUT ON weight before they start him again in games.
Coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and his backroom team believe Robinho is too lightweight for the rigours of European football and want to see him increase his weight from his 65kgs to 68kgs.
Robinho has admitted to Real coaches he is concerned that he hasn't been able to produce the sort of football that made him famous at Santos. The Brazilian has now been put on a strict weight training and diet program which Real staff expect to see positive results within a month.
Luxemburgo hinted at his concerns last week, admitting: "Robinho does not have a suitable physical base for European football. We want him to build himself up."
Yeah, the guy needs to get much bigger. He is too skinny and small, anybody can out-muscle him. If we are to get a good, rounded (no pun intended) player, Robinho needs to put on weight.

Well atleast we now know which player gets dropped for zidane, plus i think this month will help him. I think h should learn from zidane not to use his tricks all the time. He is becoming predictable for defenders in the spanish league, but look at zidane, he uses his tricks when he knows he needs to. He is much harder to beat than robinho, so maybe in this month off robinho can learn that. You dont see ronnie start doing step-overs everytime he gets the ball. You always have to make yourself unpredictable, and hard to tackle.

that is the target for him for the end of the month, and believe me, with the size of his body, it will hard for him to gain 3 kg by the end of the month. They want him to gain muscle, not sloppy fat. Looking at him he doesnt eat much, but when you have to weight lift, you have to eat double, which isnt easy for some people.

This is good news, he needs to bulk up a lil Robinho, but even with his current weight he still is a nightmare for defenders and really does hlep Real when he's on the field. I think Madrid is using this as an excuse not to drop Raul or Guti.

Guti often sits on a bench, they r giving the place for Zidane

well then you probably don't know much about the physique of a soccer player.
to gain 3kgs in 1 month is alot for a player like him especially because he is famous for his speed and agility which are helped with his lightweight.
Hopefully the Madrid trainers don't screw up his diet and excesrcise and do it right. if they can pull it off by the end of the month without any problems be ready to see something amazing.
3kgs is 6 pounds by the way and if you think about it, it is alot for a player like Robinho. So to ask for 5 kgs(10 pounds) more is just being stupid(no offense) since you aren't the trainer just let the digits stay with them. ;)

Yea they are thinking with this, maybe he wont be so easy to be pusched off the ball, sure he got tricks but they are hoping if he is stronger, he can get past more players and do something on a more constant basis in the final third. Right now, he falls over too much, and if his tricks dont work, he is pretty much useless and out of the game.

I disagree with this, how can you say he's useless when he creats freekicks for Beckham and Carlos? When he has the ball and coming at a defender with full speed! they fear him so they tackle him. And its not like his tricks are useless, cuz i've seen him many times get past players. They're pretty effective but not that super effective yet.

1- robinho does not have the physical power to play against the best defenders in the world in european football
2- real madrid cant play with so many attackers all pushed in all together, there is ronaldo, raul, baptista and robinho
3- they dont want to lose him to injury.
4- needs to get used and adjusting to life in spain
