Well there is a thread like this in the US Section, so I was wondering how you guys think Mexico will do in WC 2006? What do you think your group will look like?
I'm not really sure what Mexico's group is gonna look like because I don't really know how that stuff works, but I'm guessing you guys will do well. I see you getting out of the group stages definately and (if you don't meet us again this time ;) just kidding) I can see you getting to the quarters or semifinals. Hell, maybe even farther. You (sadly unlike the USA) have proved you can perform on a world stage (examples: U-17 World Cup, Confederations Cup). Who ever you get matched up against I wish you good luck. It's good to see fellow North Americans succeed!

I dunno, I'm sure we'll do well, however i dont think Mexico will go very far. It really depends on the draws. I dont think Mexico has the talent and depth to really go all the way. I say at most Quarterfinals. I'm not saying we do not have talent on the team. We do have some fantastic players. but we do not have that, "Every Single player on our team is a super star" look.
Then again, aside from Brazil i dont see any super powerful teams. This will be an interesting and challenging WC for everyone. Its pretty much up in the air I think. Mexico and the US have done pretty well and both field competitive teams.
you're guess is as good as mine.

Let's start with the squad, I like to believe that the 2006 squad could be one of the best mexican teams in history , at least in paper.
I have 4 groups of players the A, B, C & D.
The A group are the players I believe right now are closer to be in the april's list to Germany.
Group A.

The C group is made of players that would need a great performance in the next months and a little extra to be in the april's list. Find the name of any of these players on that list would be a complete surprise.
Group C
