I live in Australia so am far away from seeing it close up, but there are worringly signs for the Premiership, an Arsenal friend of mine emailed me a review on the impact of Abramovichs dominance in the manner in which he bought the EPL and how hes destroying the credibility of the premiership which is driving fans away in growing numbers...its officially called 'The Abramovich Effect'.....

Roman Abramovich is the single biggest threat to the publics' interest in the English Premiership official reports and surveys carried out have confirmed. The Premier League Executives Committee and an indepth survey of football supporters throughout England call it 'The Abramovich Effect' as they share the belief that Abramovich effectively buying himself the league every year will destroy the value of the Premiership and already people are turning their back on English football in huge numbers, attendances have already dropped alarmingly and viewing figures on terrestrial television have fallen rapidly hitting record lows, Abramovich has undoubtedly cast a huge shadow over the English game with more and more people shunning football, the growing fear is that it will get worse! As has been widely documented throughout television, radio, newspapers etc, the fact is, no-one enjoys seeing the premiership title being devalued by the manner in which Abramovich bought it and it will get worse the longer the Russian continues his one man dominance, its unprecedented in the English game. As has been repeatedly pointed out previously, whatever club Abramovich happens to use is completely irrelevant be it chelsea or so nearly spurs, the fact is he has spent close on 300 Million on the best players available in just 2 years, hes bought the best manager available to coach these players, combine his two purchases accompanied with the fact that players have to perform otherwise a replacement will be easily bought, and you have a recipe virtually guaranteeing Abramovich his league trophy for however long he wants.
The 3 Biggest English Clubs FC.Manchester United, FC.Liverpool and FC.Arsenal cannot compete with Abramovich and his one man dominance, his money will continue to buy him the best available, and in the end the best usually win, in the League especially. Look at this past Summer transfer window for example, FC.Manchester United desperately needed 2 World class central midfielders---could not afford them, Newly crowned UEFA Champions of Europe FC.Liverpool desperately needed a quick central defender, a right winger and another striker---could not afford them, FA Cup holders FC.Arsenal desperately needed a central midfielder, a goalkeeper and a striker---could not afford them....Abramovich on the otherhand needed a left back, a central midfielder and a right winger---Over 50 Million out of his pocket and he got all 3 targets, stengthening his team further, almost ensuring he buys himself his premiership trophy again, hes killing the credibility of the trophy, the demise in English football has started.
The 3 Big clubs in English football FC.Manchester United, FC.Liverpool and FC.Arsenal have no answer to Abramovich and his growing personal dominance, he can buy himself as many league titles as he wishes, you cannot stop him!!, his billions ensures he always has the money to buy the best available players to stay well ahead of the rest, plus these players as i said before 'HAVE' to deliver or Abramovich will just very simply buy an instant replacement at the drop of a hat, money is no issue, his players are instantly motivated to perform.
A report by the Premier League Executives simply state that 'The Abramovich Effect', and his personal one man dominance of the Premiership is beginning to turn fans away from the game, ticket prices or cautious football is only a secondary issue, the committee believe that seeing a rich individual Abramovich devalue the league, and effectively buy himself the premiership trophy, is far from appealing, the worry is that the demise of the English game has begun and the growing apathy towards English football primarily created by Multi-Billionaire Abramovichs arrival has now started to take effect. An official survey by Football supporters throughout the country concurs with the Premier League executives report calling 'The Abramovich Effect' and his personal dominance as the single major reason behind the growing disinterest in the Premiership.

i dont see whats wrong with it.

there are thousands of rich billionares out there, if they were to buy arsenal or liverpool, there wouldnt be a problem.

in the end, the players are the ones performing, not roman abramovich.

allthough i do believe his current spending habits are in comparison to NO other EPL team, and perhaps a bit unfair, i dont think its wrong. if he has it, he can use it, quite simple really.

until other teams wake up and start marketing better, trying to attract more money, chelsea will continue to rule.

how can it be fair for the other teams when chelsea have a seemingless bottomless pit of money at their disposal.

But Jose bought quite a few domestic players... while other clubs get foreign players... So in a way, Chelsea is helping the EPL, but at the same time - killing it.

Frank Lampard - Joe Cole - SWP.... THE LIST GOES ON!
