The Slovaks and Croats both won their doubles rubbers.

Slovakia now leads 2-1, as does Croatia over Russia.

Slavic nations are ruling in tennis - 3 of the 4 semifinal nations are slavic.

Ajmo Hrvatska! Its already an amazing achievement to get this far!

croatia and slovkia in the finals!!!!!

very interesting goran might come on the davis cûp team :D
Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic could come out of retirement to play in December's Davis Cup final against Slovakia, Croatia captain Niki Pilic said after his side's semi-final victory on Sunday.

*Ljubicic the hero as Croatia advance

Assistant coach Ivanisevic joined in the celebrations at Split's Gripe Sports Hall after Ivan Ljubicic had capped a superb weekend by beating Nikolay Davydenko 6-3 7-6 6-4 to give Croatia a decisive 3-1 lead over Russia.

Split-born Pilic, who in a previous role steered Germany to three Davis Cup crowns, said Ivanisevic and Sasa Tuksar, the fourth player in this weekend's semi-final, will play off 10 days before the final to be held in Bratislava in December.

"I'm telling everyone now for the first time that there will be a one-off match between Goran and Sasa at my club in Munich," Pilic told reporters.

"It will be held on a fast rebound ace court at 500m altitude, and that will help Goran," he added with a smile.

"Whoever wins will be the fourth player. But if Goran loses he will still be with us for the final. If Goran wins Sasa will also still be with us."

Well done Croatia  , can i ask who's playing for Slovakia? Because if its Hrbaty then there shouldn't be too many problems for you.

Also, I was just wondering, is Croatia participating in this years Hopman Cup?

Thanks. Slovakia have Hrbaty and Beck as their main men, both solid players.

We may well compete in the Hopman Cup, as both our male and female players are strong enough.

Oh well if its Hrbaty and Beck then you guys should have no problems. They're okay but Ljubicic and Ancic are far better.

Sprem had a slump i know, but shes slowly getting there, who would be the mens player though? Ancic or Ljubicic? I wanna see a showdown between Croatia and Serbia
