so how's going on ur valentine's day?
it was goood eventually picked her up from work went to this nice park in the city... kick backed there.. had a really good time... was fun.. then we went to dinner.. she paid for it all thank god for that....lol... and then went to a lookout the stars were out and just had a wicked time :)

why not? why she can't pay in Valentine's day? it is about love, both parties are equally loving each other (in theory), so that's very nice and kind of her! :admiration:
as for my today, oh boy, sitting in the middle of the caspian sea on gas platform and working the hell out of my ass since 6.00 am... good thing is I stay alone in my room and have a bit of flexibility (longer breaks)...
hehe this is the first time someone offshore (iin the middle of the sea) posts at SFN - I am proud to take it as for credit :evil:

It`s something about the government paper work.. something that should be done to have the licence of the store and I totally have no idea about.. but it`s going to be ok, my Dad knows some ppl, so I guess it`s already been solved.
However, I really had a very bad day today.. and it ended just few minutes ago with an accident by my car.. but thanks God no one`s hurt or injured.. but I`ll have to save some cash to fix the car, it`s not too serious but still it`s bothering me... I will live anyway.

A police man came today with a government permision to close down the store, can you imagine that? but ofcoure I`ve called my dad and in 2 minites the police man got a call from someone big in the city council telling him to give me an extention to complete all the paper work.. as a favour.. :rolleyes:
Actully ths is how things goes in my country.. favours for favours.. everything is actully going wrong, the procedures for making any govenrment papers arent plain, so ppl specially like me alawys fall into mistakes or forget to do something in the procedures because we really dont know about! which leads to such consciounces.. so if you are not a guy who knows ppl and can make some calls they`ll walk all over you and you`ll have to give bribes to those animals to let you open youir store.. our government is excactly like the mafia, it`s even worth.. cause everyone knows that they steal and do lousy works in front of everyone, and tyhey are not hiden like the mafia.. it`s like watching someone killing another only to take his money right infront of your eyes and you cant do something about.
As for my father, he is one of those few men who built themselves by themselves.. and he knows some of the few good ppl that have great powers in the several government sections and fields.. that makes it easier for me and some from what I know to live in this injustice system.. unfortunatly many ppl are not lucky as I am.

Weather here is awsome.. despite liking the cold and winter.. but the weather those days in Egypt is so nice, warm and sweet most of the day time, however, cold alittle bit at night..

well u dont know whats happening now...today is the 21st of march...the first day of spring...and...there are 4 degrees!!!In 3/4 of italy its snowing!!! :faint2: what the hell...its not normal...25 degrees in feb and now 4...

Well.. actully she is just a custmer, but she visited the store several times and we had some interesting conversations.. Im just start to have a weird feeling towards her.. that usually happens to me when Im not able to ask the girl for her phone call or for a date.. cause I feel nervous, and I only feels nervous talking to a girl that I like.. that`s how I found out that I like this one.. :rolleyes:.. next time she come.. hopefully I will get her number.. :heart: :)

Yesterday I almost die with my Dad and brother :rolleyes:.. we were on our way to the capital Cairo which is a 200 km away from Alexandria.. on our return journy at 11 pm which is so dark road at this time..my brother was driving and he likes too fast too furius movies you know.. so he was on a high speed almost like 140 km/h.. and suddenly we found on the road a tree! :worried: I have no idea how the hell did my brother skipped it but I thought that that`s it.. I saw all of my life running of front of me.. umm.. it was really boring :rolleyes:.. anyway.. he turned alittle right quickly thn left and for some reason that I do not understand the car didnt throw over!! we had to pull over after that and no one of us said a word.. it was such a thrilling moment!
As for the girl.. I didnt see her yet.. :(.. hope she aint got a bf after all.. she`s really nice.. hmmm :rolleyes:

Safety is a paramount in my company here. Basic rules: don't drive more than 80km/h even on good roads, fasten seatbelts and be careful (defensive driving stuff...), talk with driver on long ways so he does not lose concentration, do 5 min stops to strech legs every couple of hours. The show plenty of videos on this. Personally, I think 120 is a max speed, on long trips better driver slower...

been horrible the last few weeks trying to get over my shoulder injury and it made it almost impossible to drive a car .. whcih lead to me missing a few important weeks at uni...

i am back from Orlando - that was a beautiful trip! I loved every minute of it, went to Disneyworld, then to Universal Studious and finally to Seaworld! and the weather was 32C just perfect!
Quite surprised to see you were in Orlando :). Sounds like (and looks like from your pictures) that you had a great time. And you managed to hit up every amusement park ;). How is Disney World these days? I was too young when I went...
And was your trip strictly for pleasure or did it involve business too?
haha to tell you the truth we had a bp (amoco) conference (relaxed one) there for 4 days, but i stayed like 4 extra days to hit almost every park. Disneyworld was nice, the Epcot park with its laser show was amazing, best laser show I have ever seen! Then liked a lot Universal studios's Shrek 4D cartoon and most of all Mummy section, it is world class! And overall walking in those parks was a great pleasure! Seaworld with its Shamu show and all other shows touched my feelings, very well done and they have managed to create perhaps one of the best environments for animals in captivity... Creating Antarctic conditions for penguins at 32C temperature - respect!
so from my use of superlatives you can feel how impressed I was, and still am. The whole trip went far beyond my expectations.
and the last point, I company billed a visit to best in Florida steakhouse - one of the few times when I had appreciation for meal, surely will remember that new york strip for rest of my life and probably the 350usd bill to company as well :silly:
so, my conclusion - it was a fantastic trip! :evil:
the only thing I did not like is a climate change issue - the bus drivers servicing us during conference never turn the vehicle engines off, although they were spending most of the time standing somewhere, not driving... Man it is a lot of emissions - it is ridiculous.

I know you had said you'd been to Texas before, but I don't recall what you had seen or where exactly you'd been. When I am driving around here, I can't help but chuckle when I see that some 80% (not an exact figure ;)) of the cars are these huge, gasoline-guzzling SUV's or personal pickup trucks. And you can look inside and often see only one person (the driver) inside the vehile, while also guessing that they probably only use their giant automobile for getting to and from work.
But I'm not some environmentalist hippee :hippie:. Regarding climate change, I'm really not sure what I think of global warming. I used to just assume that it was a real problem and brought about by mankind, but there are still so many intelligent, reasonable people (not talking about big businessmen or politicians) that remain unconvinced and can present strong counter-arguments, so I am now skeptical too. Global warming activism has also developed far enough that there seem to be many with a financial interest in it proving to be real.
But either way, whether it is a true man-made problem or not, there is no reason why we shouldn't strive for a cleaner environment. We shouldn't have to rely on doomsday predictions to motivate us.
BTW, New York strip is also my favorite cut. Delighted to see that you enjoyed it so much, as well as your trip overall. You seem to work for a good company.

Ryan - watch the Inconvenient Truth documentary by Al Gore. It is very good for non-specialists, I just bought a DVD and watched it last week. He gives a good message. I am almost 100% convinced that climate change is a big issue, although I work for the industry which products have perhaps the most significant contribution to it...
SOrry to say that but world would have been much better & quieter if Al Gore won the presidency...
anyway, i am back to work, feel relaxed, but sleepy. Sounds funny, I got tired from doing nothing over the long week end...

I just installed cable tv over the week end, bloody installers were pissing me off by their behaviour or i refused to give them a tip... anyways, all works well I got 2 dedicated football channels, two sport channels, and plenty of other pay tv stuff (national geographic, hallmark and etc.) just for 10 bucks a month! I am happy.

man bored on a saturday night.. had a mates engagement but feeling really sick... been vomiting all day so i couldnt go.. now im really bored down know how to spend my night at home :(
went out to the beach with co-workers and some friends on friday. spent a night there, had jakuzi in my hotel room :silly: now back home doing some work. The weather is perfect 23 degrees and windy, normally this time of the year we hit 37-38 degrees :evil:
Just came back from a one week vacation now i need to work my ass off at uni and work :(
