“I already wanted Iaquinta when I was at Roma. I liked him even during that time, when few people believed in him. I understood he had the qualities to become one of the most important forwards in the tournament.”

Capello is the best coach right now IMO.

he left Roma, Roma got ruined, he joined Juventus, Juventus are champions, it's as simple as that.

I tend to agree, but not just for those reasons. I think Cosmi is an excellent tactician as well. I'mnot convinced that Mourinho is as good as everyone thinks...he's just been very successful in bringing continental approach to European club football to England, but it too is largely dependant on counter-attack with quick wingers and forwards. I haven't seen as much tactical diversity in Mourinho as Capello.

Agreed, Mourinho hasnt really shown he much, he hasnt really bought any players to the club who have been "revelations."

As far as forwards go we need nobody at the moment.

Possibly not, but I think Iaquinta can be more successful at Juve than Trez. If Iaquinta comes, I somehow doubt that it will be Del Piero that is sold, but Trez. I think only Cassano will eventually be able to displace DP. But we'll see...

i hope Liverpool make a move i like the guy and we need a goal scorer and Morientes seems to have unexpectly been a flop from start to now.....

as for good Coach i think Rafa's record and low spending makes him one of the best, if not the best. (was voted best Euro manager, in italy ahead of Capelo and Anchalotti respecively)

Capello wants both Cassano and Iaquinta. Given their current situation I think only one can come. Who do you think it will be? Both Roma and Udinese have coerced their respective players into new contracts so they can make money on the transfer. I don't see a spot for both unless Juve moves one or two of Mutu, Trez, or DP. DP is unlikely to move unless it is of his own volition, and I doubt he will want to. Roma might want a swap for Mutu. That means that IF (big IF) both Cassano and Iaquinta come, it's likely Trez that is going to hit the road. Where too? I bet England someplace. Anyone want to venture a guess? Perhaps Chelsea, although I don't see Trez as a player that Mourinho would 'fancy' since Mourinho seems to favor players with more pace.

Cassano has always been strong, Iaquinta is just tapping into a rich vein of form. I say Cassano, if possible.

True, and it's a matter of what class of forward is needed. Does Juve want purely a target man that can shoot with both feet and his head? Then Iaquinta. Do they want someone who can make plays, score, and act as mezza punta if necessary (probably not under Capello though)? Then Cassano. Cassano is more skilled with his feet. Iaquinta is Vieri like as a thundering forward.

Liverpool Needs OPTION A so i think RAFA should Take Note of Iaquinta's availability
(take a look on LFC official Forum its full of Iaquinta talk, along with Joaquin so i wouldnt take it to heart)

personally id rather have cassano here. but some news released today in CH4 says that Juve passed up on the chance of getting cassano cause they have too many strikers. so Juve apparently dont want or need him. i wouldnt mind having him though.
