Interestingly, if you look at the top 10 and forget the order of those ten it's not a million miles away from the world's top ten teams.

whats your point, spain and france has more

yes spain do seem to be lacking something
they have one of the top leagues in europe & top clubs worlwide
yet they caant seem to unite for the spanish cause
like their alliance to their clubs is greater than that to their country
they dont seem to want to dream of winning trophies
it shouldt be like that. they need to believe they can or whats the point of competing & just being satisfied with latter stages
france believed in themselves dreamt & won WC
at least the english are striving to it publicly

I don't get all you guys. On an average Spain does very good. You can't just determine the greatness of a national team based on trophys and if you do then you must be some kind of futbol wanabe. Spain plays excellent in my oppinion but every country has their bad days and Spain is no exception.

No wonder teams all over the World buy Brazilian players, they come and they conquer. Top 3 even in Europe!!!What are you trying to say here? That Brasil is more superior than Europe? It's not just the Brasilians that do good in the Champions league. I like to think everyone does their share.

Greece got more players in CL than England. Beautiful example is Arsenal, which sometimes are without Any English players. nice

so many from spain, you'd think they'd have a decent national team.
don't forget that players like Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos could be counting on this list as spaniards.
And not like Camoranesi who really plays for the italian NT, these two don't play for the spanish NT ...
I don't know exactely. The list I'd seen before had Brazil in front of France - probably because of such cases.

well you know thats not exactly coincidence. usually when a country has a lot of good players, i.e. ones that can play in the champions league there is a good chance that the national team is good.

Valencia this season seems to be the only team with a majority of its players from the home country. Which of the other clubs ,who end up in the top 4 of their respective leagues, can boast of this?
