yea i think your right...mexico is definatly getting there...and brazil is over rated but who can blame them..i mean ppl are already betting that they're gunna be the winners for the world cup and stuff...so i dunno i mean im a fan of their national team but i think that now a days people tend to go over-board with all this..

Is Mexico overrated?

Well it depends how you have them rated.

12 years a go in South America they have them rated only above of Venezuela compared to all the 10 Conmebol teams, today in Peru, Colombia,Argentina and Brazil recognize the Mexican national team and the mexican league as one of the best in the continent, I read not so long a go a brazilian reporter article after Mexico's victory over Brazil in the Confed Cup that " ... if you don't recognize that Mexican football either the national team or the league are the third football powerhouse of America only behind Argentina and Brazil, then you are closing your eyes to the emerging football force of the continent".

Well it depends how you have them rated.

Wow, that's was nice to read, however I agree that Mexico is overrated. In America we may be the third best team, but in the europe there are still a lot of countries better than us... but the team is improving :evil:

why are we overrated.. what do people think of us. to the last post i think that underrates us. i mean y are we behind teams like denmark greece sweden ukraine, etc. i think we can beat ne of those teams and tie a gr8 team. e.i. last world cup, we beat cro. and tied italy. neways if ur looking at fifa rankings than yea obviously but maybe like a top 15 or 20 i think thats where we are. 3rd in america maybe maybe not, i still think uruguay is ahead of us and u s and paraguay are close behind us.

i dont think mexico is over rated.
i dont know much about mexican league, but mexican national team is for sure in top 10 in the world.

they can beat anybody and im really looking forward to see how they r gonna do in wc2006.

btw.. i think usa is over rated for sure, they suck, only thing they qualify to most of the world cups is they really have no competition. there is just mexico.but mexico is better then they r and every1 knows that. usa geographic position is really good so thats why they qualify for this world cups. i dont know how would they do in europe or africa, even asia :lol: .

I think in some areas they may be over rated, but in many other places they are under rated. People need to see how much their game has improved over the last couple years or so. I dont think Latin American football is very well acknoweledged over here, and they dont show any mexican football here either. I guess we will just see how things go in the world cup. Obviously i like them and dont really think they are over rated.. i think it may be a good world cup for them next year.

eh... i say argentina is a group of superstars but as a team, they're not that great. Don't get me wrong, they are definitely good, but i think they have way more potential. They're going through what spain went through, a team full of world class players that cant play well together. Spain obviously got over that because in my opinion they're the best in the world right now.
