There have been played only 4 games between Albania and Turkey ever, Albania had beaten Turkey Twice in friendlies in 98 and 2001 in turkey, tied one home, and lost the last game with turkey for WC qualifying match in March 26th 2005 in Istanbul..

Here are all the matches tho 2 nations have been playing eachother since ever.. :)

I have explained in the Greek forum. Our national team sucks physically right now. On the other side Scandinavians are famous for their phsysical condition. The most possible is that we will have a nightmare in Denmark, but luck still exists.

There are greek communities in Denmark and Sweden and in other nearby countries so I would assume they would be there. How cold would it be next month in Copenhagen?

Albanians, croatians, Russians,Turkish, bosnians, Romanians,portugees´s

But I dont heard so much about greeks and in fact never seen or meet any greeks but sure there can be, but just not in copenhagen, the only greeks I know is only a Family which lives next to me others never seen so much around, Im sure it must be sweden or Norway with most greek comunities...so thats why I wonder if it would be greek fans in Copenhagen for the Denmark-Greece Game ?!

Copenhagen is a Metropol and the city simply is the best when it would be any football match out-here so I accept a very great atmosphere around here..

In Euro our team was in great form and we all believed in the team after the first game, now it is visible that our teams has no physical powers (I told many times half and more of them don't play in their teams!). It is not a matter of heart or high morale or something, even if the players want a lot to win, I don't know if they are able physically. I hope the luck help us in the game with Denmark and you never know.

I meant that this is like Euro 2004 in the sense that everybody is doubting us. True, Euro form was better than now but even then we were doubted in EVERY single game. Denmark, with their hot offense, reminds me of Czechs in Euro 2004, whom, everybody was saying was a scoring machine and that Greece's defense would not stop them.

Also, winning in Portugal in the final was seen as impossible because the first win in Portugal was perceived as a fluke and that no other team could beat them in Portugal since that loss until Greece beat them a second time. So, in that sense, we are being doubted in winning a road derby game in Denmark the way we doubted against Portugal TWICE.

I think that it may be quite possible for Turkey to win for several reasons;

1. Our team is not in the best form.
2. There is no motivation for us. A win or a loss won't change anything for us. On the other side Turkey has sth in stake.
3. Although i don't believe in this theory of us letting Turkey win, still it is a possibility. At least it may affect our layers not to give their 100%.

to be honest i don't think Albania wlil let turkey win and neither will Denmark let greece win. Eventhough i am sure most people would rather turkey qualify, it is not albanias problem for either one of them. Albania has to play strong all the matches because it affects its fifa standings which very much affects the draws in the coming tournaments. Ethically it is wrong, and i am sure that Briegel would also want Albania to play its strongest because it affects his reputation, plus, it will give him something to look forward to in the tactical sense. Don't be surprised if Albania wins or even draws. This is football, and im sure no team would let any team unless it was a friendly...and still it would have to be with a valid reason (such as resting players or tribute to a certain legend and da da da).

i personally would want turkey to qualify obviously but well just see what happens

These days is very hard to talk about favorites but i think that Turkey will go in Germany 2006 becouse two days earlier they have past the talking about their future in EU. So they will even pay to much cust for wining a game in Tirana.

firstly i personally dont understand the hatred between greeks and Albanians or should i say Illirians, we are both ancient peaple with alot in common apart from religion, but having said this i wish Albania the best of luck your draw with ukraine was a good one and its a sighn that things are getting better with albanian soccer, your recent record against turkey is not that bad, i can actually see albania causing another upset here, the same way u guys surprised us.

Albanian team doesn’t have anything to lose so they will play with no worry. They can not qualify to the finals so they don’t have any pressure. Of course all the attention is in our team. No favours from Albania, says Briegel
11 October 2005 by Reuters Albania coach Hans-Peter Briegel has re-assured his Danish counterpart that his side will be playing for victory in their final Group Two qualifier against Turkey on Wednesday. Morten Olsen's third-placed Denmark side need to win in Kazahkstan and hope Turkey fail to do the same in Tirana if they are to squeeze into the playoffs.

Ukraine, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Albania on Saturday, have qualified for next year's finals as group winners.

Albania have already reached their best points tally in a qualifying campaign with 13 from 11 matches, although they have nothing to play for but pride in their final game.

"We will be playing for Albania," Briegel said. "Albania is not going to make any concessions and will fight to win to please its fans in the last match.

"These are all speculations," added Briegel, reacting to suggestions that Albania could help either Turkey or Denmark.

"It is normal the Danes hope we win because this will help their qualification but we shall play our game without thinking whom it will benefit."

Turkey beat Albania 2-0 in Istanbul but coach Fatih Terim is expecting a tough game on a sub-standard pitch in the Qemal Stafa stadium.

"Albania showed what a good team they are in Ukraine but our only chance to qualify is a victory and we shall get it," Terim told reporters in Tirana.

your win was not all deserved you had allmost 2 or 3 chances and one of them you scored.. :) Can you tell me how many chances we had to score ? and 2-3 of them was clearly goal chances.. :sad:
