More importantly, who deserves it?

In my opinion, Beckham deserves the spot more. He has more experience and can handle pressure, while still being able to serve in brilliant long balls and crosses (the most recent Wales match for example). Phillips on the other hand tends to fold under the pressure, but can still assist in scoring goals.

What exactly is the difference Becks. If we are saying that Beckham deserves it more due to his experience and all that then we are missing the most important point. The England team should be picked on talent :D . SWP is faster, has the ability to beat his opponent, scores many more goals, and his crossing is only marginally weaker. Overral he almost has the complete package to go on to become one of the best right wingers in the world. Beckham really just does things to look good. His long, over-hit passes where he leans back serve no purpose really. His target usually cannot control the ball, or his marker just beats him to it anyway, but yet everyone thinks they are great because he has hit it so far and of course it is Beckham and he looks really cool when he leans back like that with his lovely hair :lol: .

Beckham played well in the centre of midfield yesterday, just spraying passes around the pitch.
I liked the formation Sven used, so I'd say Shauno.
