Owen had clubs like Liverpool after him an even Arsenal and Man united at one point but he chose to go to Newcaste. Do you think that he chose the right club or the wrong club. VOTE NOW

Right club. He is promised a starting spot, and will do wonders for a once wonderful club.

Great move for him and the club who are desperate for some goals.

i would say no, cuase i dont think there is really space for him at liverpool anymore, and i doubt he and morientes would make a good partnership

Once Newcastle get rid of Souness, I think they'll do really well.

How could you say no room for him at Liverpool? Owen is one of the ten best strikers in the world - the guy is a goal scoring machine. Did even better than Ronaldo last year when given the opportunity to play. He is better than all the strikers Liverpool have - I think pool missed out.

hahahaha, how nieve u all are, Liverpool missed out ???
what the hell are you talking about NUFC did LFC a big favour, acctually a 5m pound favour.
Owen has a release Clause in his contract that if he is not happy he can leave for 12m (note he signed for 16-17).
Owen is and never will be a PERMANENT GEORGIE this is just a HIGH PROFILE LOAN DEAL..
think about it owen goes to LFC next year for 12m or less is NUFC get relegated :D

I don't have any order to it but I'd say say the best in the world are Adriano, Shevchenko, Henry, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Rooney and maybe Robinho. I'd definitely put Owen on that list - the guy is simple a goal scoring machine

He is definitely better than anyone that Liverpool currently have. Do you disagree?

I rate him higher than any striker at Liverpool. Morientes is close... but still not on the same level as Owen.

lol nah, i would say- adriano, ronaldo, robinho, shevenko, Van Nistelrooy, makaay(servely unrated cuase in german bundesliga), Raul(when he used to eb a striker), Eto, Henry, Gilardino, Toni, rooney, etc, and owen about 15th or so

Not a mistake

1) Newcastle havent scored a goal this season so far. They need quality strikers. They are a good team basically, but they have fallen apart under Graeme Souness 'brilliant' leadership. If Owen can play like he did in wc98, a champions league spot is not very difficult for NUFC.
2) Owen has to score to impress SGE for a place in the world cup. If he was at Real Madrid, or he went to Man Utd, he would only play 50% of the games. In NUFC he can play every game as a starter.

so its good for his career that he went to NUFC.

Isn't Robinho a creative mid?

If Liverpool was unwilling match Madrid's asking price, how did Owen really have a choice of Liverpool or Newcastle? To me, the choice was Newcastle or the Madrid bench.

As much as Liverpool - club, supporters, board - wanted Owen back, I never got the sense that Benitez did.

The problem is Newcastle United itself. That team has everything to be in the top 3, but for some reason ( Souness maybe hum ?.... ), they keep screwing up, year after year.
If they can finally manage to play the way they should, then Owen will have made the best decision.

PieMan I agree with what you said I think they could be top 4 but they just dont come together that might change this year.

I don't think was a mistake, but I believe he could insist at least one more seasson in Spain. He's a great player and play in Spain league is so easy, he could do it for sure !
I think was a manager decision, because Luxemburgo always liked Owenso much, and show big sadness about his exit.
