1. Gianluigi Buffon (shoulder problems),
2. Giorgio Chiellini (nose surgery)
3. Alessandro Birindelli (ligament damage) all ruled out

4. Pavel Nedved,
5. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
6. Kovac
7. Mauro Camoranesi - light injuries not match fit.

it seems that the list is only getting longer for the bianconeri, and with the showdown in the italian supercup only days away, "don" fabio will need to field a makeshift juve starting 11 against inter.
which is the least of his problems as the new season beckons and capello is left with a squad now vastly reduced in comparison to the likes of ac milan and inter. and we all know the repetitive injuries that the likes of del piero trezeguet and cannavaro are all prone to suffering. so who knows this time next month we could see further names added to the old ladys hospital list!!

at this crucial stage in their season juve will have to show their passion hunger and determination to overcome heavy odds and force their rights as title contenders!!

BUT THE QUESTION HAS 2 BE "DO JUVE STAND A CHANCE 2 LO SCUDETTO THIS YEAR OR IS IT ALREADY 2 LATE"

The Italian Super Cup has come and gone, and Internazionale have won it by a mere 1-0 margin. To even ask whether or not Juventus has a chance at maintaining their position at the top of the Italian League is, however, a ridiculous question. Yes, the season has barely started and we are, as was said, "blighted by injury", but do you not believe in the power of the players on the team? We have lost very important players to injury, in particular Gianluigi Buffon, to a shoulder injury caused by a collision with AC Milan player Kaka, but he is only one man. The others that are injured are out for a much shorter period than he is. We still have many good players that will be more than capable of putting out the required effort to stay on top of the League. We have strikers, midfielders and defenders that are quite capable and will no doubt be able to showcase their talent in Gigi's abscence. I'm not trivialising the harm done to the team by the injuries that have already befallen them, and in no way am I even attempting to make it seem as though Buffon was not an integral part of the team, but we really need to keep in perspective the fact that we are the best Italian team, and it took more than two or three players to get us to that position. Fabio Capello is a capable coach and he will surely make the best of the situation and see to it that the players have the assurance that they are fully capable of retaining their title. Lo Scudetto is very important, but there is also Champions League and the World Cup that these players are contending for.... in this coming season, right up into next year, I am quite certain that Juventus will be able to keep their title and put the likes of AC Milan and Internazionale in their respective positions.... below us.
