Fenerbahce - Diyarbakirspor (Week 2)

Fenerbahces second game this season will be played against Diyarbakirspor at our home stadium. The game will be played empty at the beautiful Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu stadium dude to the game suspension that we got from the Everton game incident.

It won’t be the usual spectacle at the Sukru Saracoglu without the fans, but an important game nonetheless as we play our first home game of the season against Diyarbakırspor on Saturday night. It will be the 19th game between the two sides in league history, with 10 wins, four draws and four defeats on record.

The controversial ban on our fans attending the game due to an unproven shooting in the Olympic Stadium during our friendly with Everton means thousands will have to wait two more weeks before they can get back together with the Kadıköy cauldron.

We’ve never lost at home to the eastern side, winning seven out of nine games and drawing the other two.

Nicolas Anelka could make his comeback to the side while Servet Çetin is a certain absentee.

While the contriversy is building up on the decision of the TFF, lots of Fenerbahce fans are going to the game and will be trying to cheer from the outside of the stadium to try to support our team. This has never before been done, I applaud all of the FB fans.

I'm very optimistic about this game, we'll probably win. Diyarbakirspor is a team always struggling from relegation, so it's going to be an easy match. That's my line-up, the one I would like to see. I hope Daum lets Anelka play this game, that's if he's fit of course.

yes diyarbakir are slow movers of the ball...they will get crushed if FB find their form...anelka should play...

Oh well, we were able to get one point.

I'm not too worried about it though, FB need some drama and dissapoitment to work their way up the league. That's the way it happens every season :) (last 2 seasons anyway)

wow! uz were 2-0 down at the 50th min mark...until wen did fb actually score? the come back would have been the only boost in the match...but u guys must have playd poorly...lol....dw as u sed its only early on in the league...things will change....:D

Fenerbahce need Rustu, that's the end of it. He's got a huge presence on any given game. He helps the team a lot not just by being a really good goal keeper, but also motivates the team to win. Volkan isn't there yet, without Rustu FB is a lost cause. I also think that Tuncay would be better off playing in the wing and put Anelka as a santrafor. Alex would go somewhere in the middle close to Appiah where they can work something European off. As for Aurelio and Nobre, I say just send them away. They add nothing to the team above than what the team already is. Send them, and buy new and better european players.
