First off all, I know some of you are American or Canadians and I don't mean to offend you by this. You are different than people I am going to talk about

Don't you just get pissed by American Additude towards soccer. They think soccer is lame sport and very boring because there are not lot of scores???????????????They think of soccer a gay and sport for women??????They are saying soccer players are sissies and nothing compared to football Players?????????


But lets look what Americans watch-
Football- boring game With human hybrids that drink special proteins eveyday and get bald in their 30s. Bunch of idiots running around for the ball in the game with no skills.

Baseball-Football look pretty OK compared to baseball actually. Worst sport,if you can call it sport, I ever saw.It is no fun watching it because there are 126 games played and nobody really cares much if the team won or lost. Players are bunch of fatsoes that are actually thought of being sportsmen.

Baseball fans are bunch of retired people eating popcorn while watching game.

i would rather be watching a soccer game with young people screaming out with flags and their faces painted in colors of their team, then to watch a game with My Geomertry teacher who is big fan of Red Sox.

i apologize to all baseball and Football fans- this is a way I see it.

I agree with you completely.

If you've ever seen the Simpsons, and I'm sure you have, Homer put it the best when describing baseball. It was the episode where he had quit drinking for a month. He went to a baseball game and it shows him staring at the field with a blank expression on his face, and he said to himself

"I never realized how boring this game actually was" :D :D: :D Ain't that the truth ;)

Don't care for football either. The play lasts five seconds, then they set up for another 25 seconds, it's just too boring.

Americans have a knack of knocking sports that they're not good at. You don't hear them knock them golf(if you can call that a sport).


Even though I like basketball, I remember one American commentator saying that basketball was the most popular game in the world. They he said "i guess next to soccer" You could just tell he hated to say it, but had to or he would have looked like a fool.


But on the flipside, there are a lot of Americans that like soccer, and appreciate the beauty of the game.

I live here in America,But I also lived in Greece.There are good aspects about both sides.

I mean I love watching (American) football,it is one of the best sport to watch.

And baseball I agree,it's not exactly the most fun to watch,I only get interested when the Play-offs begin.

Also I see u failed to mention,Basketball.That is my favirote sport (along with Soccer).It is non stop action!

All in all though soccer is 10x better!It has so much passion to it.If only it didn't have such violent crowds.

But the American attitude......not much to say IT SUCKS!

hehe... can not agree with what has been said any less. In my opinion hockey sucks too but I respect that sport (at least it is a sport) for baseball = YUCK ! there are two sports in the world where fat people play in ! SUMO and BASEBALL :D ! not trying to offend anyone that is overweight, but fat people don't are not suppoused to play sports at a proffesional level, simple 'cause it looks funny.

About football (american), at least they knock themselvs down a couple times. I only watch the Superbowl because of the show they got going... FOOTBALL otherwise sucks just as baseball.

Basketball, well that now is a good sport :)

here we go ok look 1st and formost i will admit soccer is not #1 here in the states and as for we have a knack for gigving up on sports we are not good at that is not true at all. and ya baseball is not the most exciting sport but it is pary of this countries history and i respect that alot. As for soocer it truly is the beautiful game it has flare charisma drama everyhing , its not that americans dont like soccer its just that that generation did not grow up with it you cant wake up one mourning and say i like it now you have to grow up in it like all over the world and wether any of you will admit it we have improved alot in 2 years and anyone that says other is just blind look at some of the teams we have beaten germany 2 times ya germany is falling but they were still a good team Argentina Chile 2 times mexico those are all quality teams and soccer is getting more and more popular here and for being this countries 5 or 6 th sport we are pretty good at it i mean if it was this countries #1 sport i mean we would be one of the best but we are not yet so just give us time and things will happen

i love soccer so dont get what i am going to say wrong. lets compare for a while.

american football (a.f.) they stop and make plays that are memorised. soccer we make plays spontaneosly. a.f. they have there own defense and offense. soccer we have all at once. they use hands we use feet. a.f. they have goals...ops i mean touchdowns that are worth 6 points ours are worth one. they have points for other things that happen in a game.we dont. baseball they have unlimited subs we have 3. basketball they shot at a target that never moves and they know wehre to throw the ball. in soccer we have different angles and theres a person called the goalkeeper. basketball has time outs too and points have differnet worth. basketball small court in soccer we have a huge field. and these american sports there fans they clap at there heroes we yell for them our countries. all those sports have cheerleaders to help to cheer the team in soccer we dont need cheerleaders we are our own cheerleaders. so soccer might be low scoring but we soccer players dont have it as easy as u american athletes and oh and a.f. originated from rugby and rugby from soccer so before u disrespect our sport u might wanna thank soccer. soccer is the most popular sports in the world only ones missing out are americans. forza calcio, arriba el futbol, j'aime futbol, voetbol fussball, futeboll and oh yeah soccer . i love futbol its the best in the world and i hope u understood what my point was its just they have it easier. if a goal was 6 points and free kick goals one and we get more points for getting carded and we could substitute all fatigued or bad players not just 3 soccer might be a sport americans can love. but im glad they dont this our sport not theres.
