Two weeks to the new Super League season. Besiktas now have Ailton, champions Fenerbahce already have a very strong squad and with the newly addition of Stephen Appiah from Juventus they are stronger and they have three more stars on the way to give frontal support to Nicholas Anelka and Alex. Trabzon 's newly signings of 4 Braziliian Internationals show they are seriously contenders this year as well. Even rest of the Super League teams required many respected International stars from around the world... Super League is strongest this year than ever..

What has Galatasaray done this transfer season ???

I'll tell you !!! They lost a solid manager in Gheorghe Hagi then lost Frank Ribery to France, Brazilian Conceicao to Greece and now the number one goalkeeper Colombian International Mondragon wow not to come back !!

So no goalkeeper , no strong midfielders, no strikers !!

So did GS signed anyone ??? Yes they signed Ivic ???Ivic WHO !!

Even newly promoted teams from second division made better signings then that..

Galatasaray has an amateur management led by the basketball guru chairman Ozhan Canaydin who promised the world to the fans and never delivered. They looked in the eyes of the fans and lied publicly not once countless times..

Eric Geretz is the new boss of Galatasaray !!! CMON !!!

This president promised at least 3 stars a year and signed 0 !! This president did not win the title in centennial year because of the poor transfers , this management treated its players badly by not paying them or even treating them like shiit when they showed a solid performance.

Mondragon is 90% of the reason this team finished in the third place this season without him Gala wouldnt even be participating in UEFA cup..

It is time for this management who made the galatasaray live their worst times in the history to resign !!!

Their first mistake was firing of a coach who just gave them the title and the Super Cup in Europe also brought the team to the semis in champions league !! Why would you fire a coach like that. Same coach went to Besiktas and got them the title in the same year now got more titles with Shaktar...YEs Lucescu is the name !!

Then they let Terim go !!! They gave no players to him !! same as Hagi, Hagi had no transfers to work with and he still managed to gather around some solid wins and helped the team get to the 3rd spot..

What has this managent done since came in power ??? Other than destroying a respected team in Europe who won 4 back to back titles, uefa cup,super cup,back to back Turkish FA Cups !!! NOTHING !!! Only remaining member who is regular in this team from those times is aging Hakan Sukur. And without his services and Mondragon Gala could have been relegated last season !!

We hear about this mul;ti million dollar trasnfers team is dealing with from the media...But this team can not affort to by Gatorade for their players how are they going to affort players cost millions and millions of dollars ???

Like rumours of Insua, Gallardo,Davids,Basturk,Pires.... These rumours come up every year and in the end we get washed up players like Conceicao or no names like Saidou,Christian,Lukunku etc...

South Amrica is full of talented cheap players....Much cheaper than Turkish stars Gala can not affort to get... All Gala needs is to make payments on time for players with remaining contracts so Mondy type of players would decide to stay and have some trust in the president.

In my opinion a solid midfielder ( Gallardo ) and a solid keeper would be more than enough for the star signing...Defence could be ensambled with cheaper players that are waitingh to be here from Brazil, Colombia, Argentina !!

DO you all remember the rumours of Washington ,Van Hooijdonk, Alex, Ariel Ortega ????????????? All scooped by the deadly rivals Fenerbahce !!! Fenerbahce is participating in the champions league this year and their signings just begun !!

With this management Galatasaray will never see the title ~~~ Mark my words NEVER !!! Im a kind of guy says never say never but i say NEVER for this issue !!

I'm totally with you on that. Being a Fenerbahce fan, I like Galatasaray. These two teams are what makes Turkish Super League strong. And I hate to see Galatasaray so far in the back of Fenerbahces trails. They have to get it together soon.

They're constantly rising, while Galatasaray is falling deeper and deeper. ONE uefa cup doesn't cut it to be a 'timeless power' in europe. It's ONE cup, ONE time, ONE breakthrough, before they dissapeared and started pleasing old players for little of 2 mills to join the club (like Pires). But Fenerbahce is a very very young squad, they're getting bigger by the day.

I remember Galata in 2001 they beat Real for the Champions League vs Uefa Cup winner game.
And in the same season the reached the quarter finals in Champions League.
And almost every year they had a decent appearance in the european cups.
Galata has achieved to be the only Turkish team that everyone respects in Europe.
Of course Fener has great players in their squad but that's not enough.
Anyway Fener has the potential to do big things in Europe.

BJK: Not exactly the "akcaabat sebatspor" type of team, but not exactly the "Barcelona" or "chelsea" of the world. They come slightly after GS and FB, and have some VERY suxesful yrs, and some HORIFIC years. TEhy never seem to ahve anything in between. lol

We didnt buy jack shit. We earned all those wins. We deserved all the penalties. In soccer you act a lot. Even when they touch you a little you pretend you were hurt badly. How many players hold their legs in pain but as soon as the ref gives a card they get up. Our soccer players are both skilled in soccer and acting. It is not our fault you guys cant fake out the ref.
