Man Utd boss Ferguson nominates next trio for management
By Ian Ferris - July 19, 2005

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has tipped three of his senior players to carve a role off the pitch when they hang up their playing boots.

The United boss feels Roy Keane, Gary Neville and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be in a position to help others when they decide to retire.

"There's quite a few [that could become managers]," said Ferguson to the club's official website.

"I think Roy Keane has certainly got the qualifications and determination.

"His leadership qualities are there on the football field for all to see. That is where he helps me most.

"I trust him and he's my captain but as a manager you have to keep your distance from your players and can't get too close to any of them.

"Gary Neville has [Keane's] determination, too, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make a great coach I am sure."

i like this first thing sir alex has done that i like (i hate the guy lol) this shows loyalty to his players especially nice to se Ole Gunnar Solskjaer mentioned after horror injury nice to see the coach hasn't forgotten a member of your squad who I feel was always one of the best performers on the pitch week in week out.

cheers lads,
Mirko.

Ole has the heart of a youth. That makes him worthy for an upcoming United.
