HELSINKI, Aug 16 (Reuters)(DS) - Jari Litmanen scored twice as
Finland condemned Scandinavian neighbours Norway to a surprise
3-1 defeat in an international friendly on Wednesday night.
The Barcelona forward struck in the 24th and 61st minutes as
the Finns sealed a morale-boosting win ahead of their World Cup
qualifying matches against England, Germany, Greece and Albania.
Shefqi Kuqi sealed victory with a last-minute penalty
awarded when veteran Norway defender Stig Inge Bjornebye handled
in the area and was sent off.
Torstein Helstad equalised for Norway in the 54th minute
before Litmanen pounced with a crisp shot to restore the lead.
