Finland beat Wales

CARDIFF, March 29 (Reuters)(DS) - A first half strike by Jari
Litmanen and an own goal from Nathan Blake ensured a 2-1 victory
for Finland over Wales in a friendly on Wednesday .
Manchester United's Ryan Giggs scored a magnificent solo
goal in the 60th minute, but the home side wre unable to find an
equaliser.
Litmanen open the scoring after 20 minutes when Wales
'keeper Mark Crossley missed a cross. Just before half time
after another mix-up in the Welsh defence, striker Nathan Blake
diverted the ball into his own net from a corner by Joonas
Kolkka.
Wales were roared on by a 66,500 crowd in the Millennium
Stadium, the largest ever to watch a soccer game in the
principality after organisers reduced prices.
