I would give VDM another opportunity

We are a big team and wome and makinwa are not big enough players for inter.I watched wome last year the only good thing he did was score against milan. Makinwa is a good player but we need a proven goalscorer.Apart from adriano recoba is the best player we have. Mancini needs to start him regularly because potentially he is the best player in the world but its another question if he can fufill his potential we as inter fans have only seen glimpses of El Chino at his best.

Well, Wome is already with Inter, that's why I put him there. And I would prefer if Inter buys a fifth striker, Adriano, Recoba, Oba and Cruz are more than enough, so let's get Makinwa as a benchwarmer (and prepare him for the future) ;)

In the most unexpected move of the week, Sicilian outfit Palermo secured themselves the services of Nigerian sensation Stephan Makinwa.
The ‘Rosanero’ dished out 8 million Euros to Atalanta for Makinwa, who is considered by various pundits as the best Nigerian forward in circulation together with Inter’s Obafemi Martins.

The contract details have yet to be disclosed.

The club chaired by Massimo 'Zampa' Zamparini have been following Makinwa since the end of last season, however their interest had seemed to dwindle in the past weeks when Makinwa seemed destined to join one between Inter and Stuggart.

Now that Palermo have signed the two forwards they were after, Makinwa and former Brescia tower Caracciolo, Luca Toni is free to leave the island, with Fiorentina and Inter in poleposition for his signature.

Three players fighting for one spot. :confused: Pizarro, Veron and Stankovic are all natural central midfielders.... they can't (especially Stankovic who proved last season he can't play in the wing all too well) play wide. When we had Veron and Stankovic playing wide we couldn't provide any width in midfield and that hurt us bad against Milan and some mid-table teams.

If things were to be as they are now it would be....

Even that is a bit of a problem because Veron is too slow to play the right side and Stankovic can't swap with Veron's position as he didn't play well on the flanks last season. And *if* we get Pizarro which looks likely a problem could arise. One of Veron/Stankovic would have to be left out and the one staying playing on the right flank which isn't their preferred position.

Yeahh that's precisely the reason I'm worried, too much players for one position. And as I have asked before, Can Stankovic develope well in the RW?
Some say yes, others no, I think he is better in the center and that's the reason I would like a true winger.

"Ideally" I would keep Stanko as Veron back-up, and Figo and Karagounis would be our RW. But then, what about Pizarro? and VDM? it seems he wants to stay in Inter after all.

The only solutions I find to this are to change the formation to a 4-5-1 or a 3-5-2.

Another solution might be to use Figo as a back-up in a 4-4-2 (because I don't see Mancini putting Stanko in the bench), but this can cause some internal problems between Mancini and Figo or Mancini and Stanko. :scream:

About Van der meyde, if he stays an option for him would be as a wing forward like this:

Of course he will be a back-up.

Competition is good, the problem is to have many players for one position. Ze Maria can play as a RW, but I think he will be more used as a RB.

He is of my favorite Inter players, always plays with his heart. Mancini said very good things about him, and I'm hoping he'll stay although I heard Hector Cuper wants him. It's true he almost didn't play, but when he did he demonstrated his value.

He deserves more minutes, but if Figo arrives, probably he will be sacrificed once again. :depressed

impossible to get double... inter have impressive midfield but they don't have solid defense.... that's the only thing left to solve... ;)
