LOL, first of all, it's spell "maksimir" :)
The stadium is being renovated for, hm, I think, 7 years now. North and west stands have been built and for few years nothing happens. Only politicans serve their usual promises of finishing stadium when the elections are close.
How stadiums looks now, thats horrible. And for the money that was alredy put into rebuilding, new stadium could have been raised from bottom up. But someone sure did fill up his pockets

I remember when budget for building new west and north stand was announced, at the same time, in spain, sevilla, completly new stadium for world athletic championship was built with capacity around 40 000 for something like few millions euro higher, and our bullshitters "payed" that kind of money for 2 stands, hello :mad2:
And by the way, vicmaher, Mesic doesn't have anything with building stadium or whatever. City provides money from taxes to built stadium and everything else in the same city. Like now in split, they had to provide money for new semafor for the game vs Brazil, but they said they don't have the money (yeah, right) so private firm offer to put it in exchange of advertising for free at hajduk games for 10-15 years.

So only zagreb is paying for this stadium, not the sabor at all?

If we get euro organization, then sabor will help with finance of stadiums, not only in zagreb. But for now, cities are the one that had to provide money from taxes to built new stadiums and those stadiums are owned by cities, like maksimir or poljud... Dinamo and Hajduk just use those stadiums, they are not the owners, Zagreb and Split are.
