Hello there Rommelll,

I'm from Dublin but now live in London.I used to watch Shamrock Rovers in the 1960's.I never had any interest in Glasgow Celtic or Glasgow Rangers.The Irish soccer team were whipping boys in those days.I can remember us being beaten 6-0 or 7-0 by the Chekeslovakian team in a friendly match at Dalymount Park.But do you know that the Republic of Ireland are the first team to beat England on English soil.Yep that's right 2-0 at Goodison Park in 1956 (I think) :thumbsup: :rolling:

Just a thought
Can anyone name a non Irish born player who played or is currently playing for a League of Ireland or Irish League club ? I'll be on hols for a couple of weeks maybe there'll be a few replies in the meantime.

Example : Pascal Vaudaquin (hope I spelt the surname correctly) French born
and he played for Derry City in the League of Ireland.
