Serie A is the most competitive League in the world, according to statistics released today.
Italy's top-flight pushed the English Premiership into second place and Spain’s La Liga into third, according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
The IFFHS looked at how close the race to be crowed champions was, as well as the chase to avoid relegation and for the Champions’ League places.
The Scudetto was decided in Week 37, a week before the close of the season, while the Premiership and La Liga titles were decided well before.
They also looked at the number of foreign players in each League, as well as how highly the League is viewed from abroad, and awarded points accordingly.
Top 15
Italy 594 points
England 587
Spain 482
Argentina 478
France 472
Brazil 453
Holland 449.5
Mexico 446
Colombia 391.5
Germany 382
Portugal 373
Greece 336
Russia 322
Chile 310.5
Turkey 309

This decides whos better what a load of garbage....
EPL beats the balls out of Serie A... Serie A wow 3 good teams Inter, AC, Juventus.....Your best team lost to are like 6th...
Who cares about forigners I don't care if they are from the Camen Islands as long as they play well.
1. EPL littered with good teams
2. Serie A
3. Bundesliga
4. La Liga
Bunesliga and La Liga imo are highly debateable.

This is a joke. Colombia above Bundesliga? not even france or netherlands deserve to be above the bundesliga. Can't comment to much about argentina and brazil because i don't watch those matches.

Yea seriously that doesn't make sense. The Bundesliga has very high standards of football. It is one of the top 5 in the world for sure. The only ones equal or better are the EPL, Serie A, and Spanish Liga. (Maybe the French if you want to debate it)

Your opinions are all interesting but when it all comes down to it, teams from the EPL and Serie A don't have as much talent as La Liga, IMO. I watch La Liga, Serie A and EPL alot on my channels and it's very obvious that La Liga and Serie A are higher than the EPL, but they both can be debateable from eachother.
So here is what I find most logical.
1. La Liga
2. Serie A
3. EPL
4. Bundesliga
5. Holland's League

Aston, I respect what you say most of the time, but saying that Serie A is not a top leauge? C'mon...there are other good teams this year, but since they were not in Europe you probably were unaware. Udinese and Sampdoria are both easily as good as Liverpool, and we all know Liverpool wasn't a top4 team in the EPL this season, but managed to win the CL...I don't know what kind of formula the IFHHS (an organization that is unrecognized by the official organizations) uses, but UEFA coefficients are pretty reliable. The EPL topped the coefficient for the 2004/05 campaign largly because of Liverpools victory, however because the pool of data includes the last 5 years, the EPL still stands at 3rd overall. We can't necissarily judge a leauge on one year, as we see that UEFA's formula is heavily based on CL and UEFA cup presence.
We all have our preference, for sure, and it is fine for you to show your approval for the EPL based on this year, overall however the only four teams from both that met in Europe competitions last year were Milan/Man U (which Milan was clearly better), Liverpool / Juve, which was Liverpool pulling off the victory but then mostly under Juve pressure...and Milan / Liverpool (which Milan was also better, however lost the game in a matter of about a 11 minute meltdown).
That said, Liverpool are deserved champions given that they got by all three of Juve, Chelsea and Milan.

That would be unsupported if it were based on current World Class players list. Care to draw one up to support your argument?

we get lots of la liga games live in england as well as serie a and obviously our own premier league ,and in my opion la liga is by far and away the best league ours is next and then the italians, but the italian game is very tactical and too slow so therefore quite boring to watch

1. La Liga & Serie A
2. EPL
I watch more La Liga and Serie A due to the talent and excitment they bring. EPL kinda bores me, not sure why. It's a very physical league, so it can be debated whether that's good or not.

Serie A has top talent and the most tactical variations of any of the top 3. It's too bad some people don't like tactical masterpieces, and need loads of goals to be entertained. Sounds kind of like ADD'ish (*attention deficit disorder*) where they need tons of stimulation in order to get a 'fix'. Learn to appreciate the tactical variety and you'll enjoy the Serie A. Also the goal differential between EPL, LA liga and Serie is negligible...something like .20 difference I believe. I'll see if I can dig it up.
