Olympics Coming To Old Trafford
Manchester United will host Olympic football matches in 2012 following London's successful bid to host the Games. The revitalised Wembley Stadium will be the venue for the final but Old Trafford will almost certainly stage one of the semi's. The announcement at Wednesday lunch-time that London had won the IOC vote in Singapore was a personal triumph for two former United players; Sir Bobby Charlton and David Beckham were both part of the bid team. Current Reds favourite Gabriel Heinze was part of the Argentina team which won the last Olympic football tournament, in Athens in 2004.
