The New Offsite Rule

After the meeting in Germany(before the Confederation Cup), FIFA decided a new offsite rule which started to apply in the Confederation Cup. I made this figure check it out. I think there will be a lot of wierd goals until the players get used to it.

Yeah this took place in the Conferdaratons cup. Basically if a player is offside the flag will only go up if he touches the ball.

hmmm....suprising that i didnt hear of it...now i dont like the sound of it...the old rule is betta...players need time to ajust to this one...is it only gonna be used in confed cup or everywhere? what do u guys think about it?

i dont know this will be a double edged swoard..... cause there will be losts of funny goals but the upper side is that there will be more accurate off-side rullings cause it is eaiser to c a player touch the ball rather than were he is positioned.

Yes i can see it now, people have to get used to it. There will be funny goals at the start though. SiN i think this applys everywhere in the world.

It doesnt maek much of a difference except for time waters.. If the player who is offside, doesnt touch the ball offside isnt called. One he touches it, they whistle for offisde. And as you guys saw in the confederations cup, the players all act confused and kick the ball away/protest to the referee and waste time.

Well, yeah teams with the striker that are smart, knows how to scramble defences, fast will score a lot of goals. I think Nobre will be very good at it but at the same time its time Fenerbace to invest in defence after this rule because they gonna start to ***k up!

No, No.. even if the players are fast, if they touch the ball ( after being in an offisde position) an offside is called. If another player touches the ball there is no offside. It just shows that defenders will be more reluctant to apply the offside trap.

Ohh now i get it why Confederation cup got so many cool goals in there, when each game was 4:3! becouse no this stupid offside who making soccer bad :mad:

Yeah thats what I said Nachi. The fast and smart attacker will confuse the defence if they are not in the offside possition!
