Robinho fined by Santos

Brazil striker Robinho was fined by his club Santos on Friday after failing to turn up for training.
Robinho played for the world champions on Wednesday (Thursday AEST) as they beat Argentina 4-1 to win the Confederations Cup in Germany and said afterwards he was hoping to sign for Real Madrid.
He also bade farewell to Santos supporters in an interview with Brazilian television.
But Santos president Marcelo Teixeira immediately replied that Robinho had a contract until 2008 and any club wanting to buy the 21-year-old would have to pay a $50 million penalty.
"I spoke to him earlier and he said he would take part in the training session but he didn't turn up," Santos coach Gallo told reporters after practice on Friday.
"We're counting on him for practice on Saturday morning. If he goes absent again, we'll hand the matter to the directors."
Robinho and fullback Leo, who was also in the Confederations Cup squad, have been told to make themselves available for Sunday's (Monday AEST) Brazilian championship match at home to Juventude.
Santos players have to pay a fine to a kitty when they are late or miss training and Gallo said Robinho would have to contribute.
Robinho has been the subject of almost daily speculation over a possible move to Europe since last year.
On Wednesday, Texieira accused Real Madrid of behaving unethically by approaching the player without their permission.
Earlier on Friday, Robinho sneaked out of a side door at Sao Paulo airport to avoiding the waiting media after arriving back from Germany.
