Obviously there are ramifications to be faced in the aftermath of this huge story, but anyway I think at this moment we should remember all the good things Vieri did for Inter. Maybe he wasn't the same player the last year or two, but he was unstoppable earlier on. A true world class player and wonderful servant of Inter.

What thenproblem to kik him out? in last games Vieri was the best. He moved inter to itlian cup final.. Vieri is not always in the field that's why he didn't score much. i love him better than Cruz.... (but i think he's ugly lol... Vieri i mean :D ) in 2003-2004 everybody scared him,he was the most scered attack in inte and now he's a forgetten legend? for his age? 32 is not much.... my opinion 38 is may be the end , but not 32! 6 more years folcks!

you are right.. but Vieri felt that he wont be able to find a place with young talanted Oba and Adriano.. so he made the right decision.

You guys are right, this is very sad. He has scored well over 100 goals for us and in Serie A that is no mean feat, especially when you consider the number of clubs he had been with until he came to us. I guess in the end we were his one and probably only footballing home. He has been a great servant and is the reason that I support Inter. Forza Bobo and good luck :star: .
Like Ryan said there are clear ramifications of this transfer, but they should be discussed later. For now let's remember :smoking: .
http://www.tribuneindia.com/2003/20030411/sp4.jpg A real battler for the cause - His strength couldn't be controlled at his peak. Here he is causing massive problems for Valencia.
http://christianvieri.altervista.org/immagini/home.jpg Forza Bobo!!
http://www.icicom.up.pt/blog/quarto-arbitro/arquivos/vieri%20resolveu.jpg This season his form really improved again and we owe him a lot for our achievements this season.
http://www.vg.no/bilder/bildarkiv/1102200647.16081.jpg Bobo also helped to improve the games of Adriano and Martins.
http://www.notiziario.net/notiziario/newsnews/elivieri/canaliselisabetta_01_vieri.jpg He also had quite a way with the ladies  .
FORZA BOBO. Gone but not forgotten....
Thanks for the goals, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Sorry, for that, he was one of the best box-strikers in the world.

You must mean that game when Arsenal scored the last 3 of their goals against 10 men with Inter only having one true central defender on the field. So much for fair play, right? Knockout Materazzi (he was out of action for a while after that game) and as he's laying on the field, have Henry sprint downfield and score...Nah, our 3-0 over Arsenal in London was much more convincing...
Anyway, you clearly don't know anything about Vieri. Box-striker? Come back after you've done your homework.

I'm really glad Vieri is leaving Inter.
As a matter of fact, I loved Inter because Bobo was part of the team. I think he did EXTREMELY well and would've done even better along with Martins in the attack if it wasnt for that overhyped ape Adriano (sorry, had to say it).
I hope he moves to Atletico Madrid. Not an english club.
Good job on all your goals in Inter, Vieri.

Of course at the moment Kezman is a starter and I am sure that is what Atletico want to do with him. I am just saying that if they did sign Vieri then I don't think Kezman's place in the first team would be guaranteed anymore. Unless Torres moves of course  .

Elcino, I think you're a bit harsh towards Vieri. You're right, he couldn't create his own goals, at least he couldn't anymore...in the past he certainly was much more capable of doing that. Anyway...as much as I admire Vieri, it is clear to me that he no longer had a major role to serve at Inter. He now lacks that something special to bring to Inter's elite group of attackers. His time to leave had arrived as it was the end of his cycle. Can Makinwa replace Vieri? Of course not. This isn't to say Makinwa can't become a helluva player someday, but I think the question is whether or not we need someone to 'replace' Vieri. I'm not sure we do. Obviously we have Adriano...and I'm ready to trust Recoba and Martins to partner him...and Cruz, if he is kept on the team, isn't too bad either as a reserve. And lets not dismiss the possibility that Makinwa may not be the only forward added this summer...

Yeah I think devious is right. Makinwa will probably be the player that we sign to replace Vieri but he will be our 5th choice. I reckon that Recoba will be promoted to sharing the second choice starter alongside Oba and that this will be his last chance. Like ramy has said, he better take it ;) .

gilardino and adriano would make an excellent duo, the best in the world?? ^^
gilardino can play deeper than adriano and vice versa... one of them can always track back when defending the corner... and both when we lead by 1 goal make the defense even more solid.... if we get this guy from milan, they would be in trouble searching for forward... that's the advantage... disadvantage... he is too expensive.. but the offer inter just made is good... at least we have another italian superstar....

Vieri was very good when in form, a very decisive striker that got results. His age and injuries have gotten the better of him, and I think his decision to leave was in order to get more playing time at a lesser club to keep his chances of playing for Italy in the next cup alive. If he is called, I hope he's a sub and Lippi goes with our youth + gives them ample time to get experience in the upcoming qualifiers. Vieri can still be very effective as a 70th minute sub if needed, he's proved that with Inter this year.
bye Bobo and thanks for your game!
leaving Inter is respectable move! he values game over money unlike some others! :star:

Vieri To Sign For Milan Next Week
7/5/2005 6:47:00 AM
The former Inter player will sign a two-year deal with the Rossoneri.
According to latest speculation, Christian Vieri will soon join Milan after being released on a free transfer by Inter in the past days.
The player is expected to undertake medical tests, which have already been booked by Milan, on Monday and sign thereafter.
Vieri has apparently agreed to a two-year deal after the Italian international refused to negotiate with other squads

Its weird you know to see him wearing a milan jersey ^^
hey maybe he would stay on the bench... Like you said, perhaps we shouldn't care if he plays great for milan... he also played great for us... so its fair enough for him to join any club he wants... besides we are going to have better replacement for him and he knows that.... but he'd better not take us lightly... like cannavaro... the latter thought he would beat us every encounter.. but we treated his team like a pile of garbage... ;)
makinwa is not available.... it left us with vucinic and gilardino.... but my worst nightmare of vieri's replacement is luca toni
on media... i can see some of my country newspaper would put him (vieri) on best player of serie a list.... this is annoying coz... I never saw inter player like adriano or cambiasso on that list until they join madrid or other club besides inter..... so everytime our ex-player (like pirlo or cannavaro) signed for our rival club like juve or milan... they would immediately put the article for show... sadly they never give credit to our club... so only speak what the player did best for the other club... it seems that all media are against inter you know... ^^
Well I have to say that I'm glad he finally left us!He didn't want to play for Inter anymore and that was obvious! I appreciate all he gave to Inter and will always thank him for that, but he needs a change!
Never been a Vieri fan, actually disliked him, but he kept scoring so I shut up.
it does not really hurt that he'll play for Milan as we were the ones who cancelled his contract. What's really a shame is that he probably started negotiations with Milan while still being an Inter player and this sounds like a betrayal to the club he spent the most of his career with doesn't matter good or bad. Actually quite good as he always had playing time, huge salary and fans loving or respecting him...
from strategic point of view it's good for us as aging Milan squad has got 32 years old player :D they will not last all season with such squad for sure! last season was the last dance for Maldini, Cafu, Stam, Serginho, Rui Costa and few others. This season is the last dance for Vieri... Milan will have to do quite a bit of shopping in coming seasons and that will make them weak, they should have started now but Galiani is still cheap, he's born as cheap person and he lives his life cheaply ...
FORZA INTER!!!
[/B]ps: worried that Fachetti does not want to sign any strikers this season... maybe, he just does not want to show his cards now :smoking: [/B]

lol yea and non of them managed to become a star like our players at Milan:mad2:
To be honest, I was really sad when Seedorf left us especially to our arch rivals! He was probably our best player, especially that time when we were in crisis, trying to reach top 5 in Italy! He was my favourite player then and that was a really sad moment for me and probably for most of the Inter fans!
Oh yeah not to mention Crespo! When I herd he was leaving us I couldn't believe it, but u know Abramovich..... he gets anything he wants:mad2: I'm just so happy that we managed to keep Adriano! If we loose a player like him, we will never win Serie A, at least in the near 10 years!
About Pirlo, I was happy that he left us, because he was just a pain in the ass!He rarely played 1st team football, and when he had that chance he ruined our game! This guy just wasn't for us, but thats just my opinion maybe there were other problems in the team that were distrupting him, I don't know! And Vieri, I already said my opinion about him:)

I can't actually explain to you how I feel about this. Am i disappointed? sure, but I am far to use to it by now to actually be sad and angry at the same time. Bobo was the back bone of this team, his goal scoring rate speaks for itself. At first when Vieri was just a free player I told myself that I hope he does well at his new club, then he signed with Milan which changed everything what I wanted to say. But I do infact wish Vieri does well at Milan, just not well enough for Milan to win something, and I do infact hope Vieri can outscore Shevchenko next season which will make me pleased. But in the other hand, there is still one way that Vieri can gain respect from the Inter fans, which is by ***king Milan from the inside:D

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=2></TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top width=280>Christian Vieri has explained the reasons behind his move to Milan by insisting Inter were to blame for his Nerazzurri exit.
The Italian international shocked many when he signed for the Rossoneri, just days after terminating his contract with Internazionale.
"About 20 days ago, Inter phoned my agent asking for us to rescind the contract," Vieri noted as Milan met up for pre-season training today.
"I thought that I would stay at Inter for one more year (to the end of his contract) and then look for a new club.
"I don’t know why they took that decision even if these things happen in football. I hadn’t asked for any kind of first team guarantee or a contract extension."
Vieri was associated with moves to Juventus and Spain but insists it was easy for him to stay in the northern Italian city.
"I couldn’t stay at a club who didn’t want me anymore," continued the 32-year-old.
"Seeing as I was a free agent and there was no clause blocking a Milan move, I picked the strongest team.
"I instantly agreed to the Milan switch once they came in for me. It took just two hours to sort things out."
Whispers suggest that Inter let Vieri go due to a breakdown in his relationship with boss and former Lazio teammate Roberto Mancini.
"I have no problems with Mancini," insisted the Azzurri star. "Why wasn’t I at the Coppa Italia Final? I was injured and asked for extra holiday time."
Vieri has signed a two-year deal and is already answering questions about a possible extension.
"I’m just thinking about doing as well as possible for now," he replied. "I hope to now finally win something.
"I admit that it is strange to be here after six years at Inter, but I hope to show good things at this club. I’m also still thinking about the national side and the World Cup."

Hearing this does make me a little angry. I would have preferred to have stayed with Bobo, a symbol of FC Internazionale, rather than allow him to leave for nothing and to our archrivals. We now only have four forwards  . I guess we will sign another striker or bring back Pinilla from loan. But it all seems like a lot of hassle when we could have just stuck with what we already had  .
