Did you watch the game ? The stadium was almost empty but there were a few spanish fans who said during the whole game : TURKIYA TURKIYA ! It was very pleasant to win. The next deception for Greece will come in few months when we will qualify for WC2006 and not them. :D

the ball was crossed in and ended up at cafercans feet and he just slotted it into the corner. Cafercan and Arda look extremley promising players, they ran rings around the greeks and also malta before

Congratulations to Turkey.

The Greek squad Refeto mentioned is not known yet and needs experience, even the games they played in the Mediterranean games till the quarters are good for them.

I don't know but Greece surely knows, as the only time this country participated to the World Cup, it took 0 points and scored 0 goals.

Turkey: 2 world cup appearances + 2 eurocup appearances= 0 cups

Greece: 1 world cup appearance + 2 eurocup appearances= 1 cup

One quick question, were any of the teams at full strength or was this an experimentational game for both coaches?

Cheers

All football games at Olympics and tournaments like Mediterranean games are experimental for me. They make experiments to train or find new players for the first national team. The Greek football squad that went to the Med games is made with unexperienced players yet, trying to find the future players of our first national team.

yes i understand what u are saying Hellas but we have to understand that most of the players there dont advance to senior squads and that those matches mite be the only ones they will play for their nation...so in the end the reslut still matters...

Understood. I thought that the teams were largely experimental, thus we probably shouldn't draw many conclusions from this.

A result it a result, indeed. Just wanted to know if the players, tactics,et al were experimental. If so, then testing is not fully indicative of true capacity.

i dont believe that they go out there to experiment that much.... i mean the coach might have sum plans as to how the ball must be playd around the feild so they use their tactics accordanly and try to take advantage of the situation...what they do on the feild is defenitly a way of showin how much they are capable of....
