So the NW ODP Regional Camp is coming up; I am wondering what regional coaches or scouts look for in a player. (especially wing midfielder/defender)

At the moment I think they look for: smart players, individuals who make a difference, and that's all I'm coming up with.

If there is anything I missed, please add. Thanks for everything in advance.

I know for some universities, the key things are:

Fitness (able to go the full 90)
1v1 skill (highly stressed)
General ball skills (ie: first touch, passing, shooting, finishing, etc)

Also, field vision is a must. The ability to make good runs... many things.

The MAIN thing that people look for is people that can effect the game.

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP!!! If you were as good as Freddy Adu, but you were mean to other players and the ref, the scouts wouldn't pick you.
