Here is a list of things that (I) would do 1 vs. 1 in a match: (keeping in mind that I have plenty of room)
1. Maradona
2. Rainbow Kick
3. Nutmeg
4. Double-Scissors (step-overs)
5. Caffeine
6. Untitled
Ok, everybody knows what the first 4 moves are. Caffeine is one I made up; do 1 Scissors and then 1 Rivilino. (so your foot goes from inside to outside, then outside to inside) And the Untitled one is a move that I know is already been invented, its where you are dribbling and you kick the ball from behind your left foot and past it. (you have the ball, then you kick it forwards ((from behind your heel)) past your left foot)
I have a ton others that I'm practicing now, but they are very hard to do. If you want any more further detail on how to do 1 of the 6 listed, just ask...

anymore? help? lol
Right, just keep it simple. A lunge or stepover works fine.
Just remember, whenever you do your move is a QUICK change of pace/acceleration diagonally forward, and then cut back into the defenders line so they either have to go around you or through you (foul).

I'm with Rema.. If you're struggling to beat players 1 on 1, I think you should start with the simple lunges and dropping of shoulders, rather than trying 2 b Maradona and doing rainbow kicks and 'caffeine'. You need to learn the basics to progress to the harder stuff.
Its like, how can you do an 'around the world' when you cant even juggle
Good luck

no its not like that the maradona and everything and rainbow kick i can do all that stuff its just when im doing one on one i seem to be making a move and then waiting or running out of room

Seems to me that you're making the move and not even accelerating away. You have to make the move and go away with PACE. If there is no change of pace, the acceleration, then you aren't going to beat the player.
And I wasnt' saying start with basics, i'm just saying basic things, if done with speed, work extremely well. I know I need to work on my 1v1 more and it's just a confidence thing with me though.

so whats the maradona?
btw i like to sprint straight at a defender and do a roller coaster/360/marseille roulette, and keep on going.

Usually all you have to do is some move easy or hard it doesnt matter, then just speed away and finish. It's better if you dont think about it very much, its simple

Could you explain that in a little more detail???

If you are fast enough and cant be bothered trying all these moves, just wait for the defender to commit to a tackle or if you know he is slow and run around them, you will leave him flat footed and running after you. THATS IF YOU HAVE THE SPEED. If you dont, try a simple move like a lunge or even a couple of stepovers to get him unbalanced then go either way in which his supporting foot is.

Run at ball
Jump forward
(In the air) place your right foot on the ball
(While in air) turn and place your left foot on the ball
Then just role on-top of the ball and onto the ground
That is a Roulette, and a Roulette and Maradona are basically the same thing just small differences.

wat r the differences i didnt think there were any?

I think its like the Maradona is you push the ball to the other foot, and your other foot swings it around, and the Roulette you plant your foot on-top the ball and both your feet touch the ball at the same time.
Its just something small...

also i think the only time u wanna use the maradona is when a defender is in fron of u and ur going at high speed.

c is more hard to get over a defender when ur stand still u need good skills 4 that but its easier when ur runnin cuz he more probably foul ya insted of takin the ball
n well if u can't do it passin is a good way to go
