I really want to learn more about all the European soccer teams, and divisions etc. I've checked the other forums on teams and such but it is all too confusing. Could any of you guys fill me in briefly on what teams are in what leagues and any famous players who play for them... THANKS!!!

I'm sorry that this is nothing to do with Training Tips.

Depends on what league you are concerned about. The top 3 Premier League teams you have probably heard of are:
Manchester United - Ryan Giggs, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Tim Howard, Roy Keane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes... The list goes on

Arsenal - Thierry Henry, Jose Antonio Reyes, Lehmann, Patrick Viera, Fredrik Ljungberg, Pires, etc.

Chelsea - Gudjohnsen, Frank Lampard, Cole, Drogba...League champions for 2004-2005.

Then there are Spanish Leagues...

Real Madrid - Figo, Zidane, Owen, Ronaldo, Beckham, Raul, Casillas, Roberto Carlos, etc.

Barcelona - Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Valdes, Xavi, Giuly, etc....2004-2005 La Liga Champions

3 countries that play the best football:

england.
league=premiership (top 20 teams round-robin)
cup=fa cup (all the teams knockout)
teams: chelsea, arsenal, manchester united, liverpool

spain
leaugue=la liga (same as england)
cup=copa del rey (kings cup)

the top 3 teams from each league competes in the champions league, the next 3 best competes in the uefa cup, go to wikipedia.com and type in any of these terms, you will find what you need.

Here is some basic information, just keep track of these players and teams and you should be fine if you are looking for the EPL:

Chelsea (won the priemership this season): Lampard (good passing and scoring midfielder), Terry (defender who scores alot of headers), Drogba (striker), Cech (awesome goalkeeper).

Man UTD: Ferdinand (most expensive defender bought), Rudd Van Nistelrooy (good striker), Rooney (striker and one of the best upcoming players), Ronaldo (a great winger who has alot of basic but good tricks.)

Liverpool (won the champions league this season): Gerrard (great midfielder), Baros (highest scorer in euros and great striker).

Arsenal: Henry (best striker in the world to many people), Pires (good midfielder/winger), Ljungberg (another good midfielder), Cambell (defender).

Everton are a upcoming team aswell who made it into 4th place in the EPL.

in reality, if u want to learn team work, and overall good football, then i recommend manchester united.

they have good set plays, and the players have good coordination

chelsea is very defensive and only counter attacks, liverpool is a good team but not the best, they somehow won the cl, and arsenal, i dont know. arsenal sucks in the world but somehow manages to win in england.
