Garcia looks to Madrid

Real Madrid should open their summer transfer account next week with the signing of Osasuna's midfielder Pablo Garcia. Liverpool have captured Spanish 18-year-old Antonio Barragan from Sevilla while Stuttgart look to reshuffle under Giovanni Trapattoni by bringing in Portuguese veteran Luis Figo.

GARCIA HAS THE MADRID FEELING

Real Madrid have almost completed the signing of Pablo Garcia from Osasuna. The player's agent Paco Casal met with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez on Thursday to negotiate a possible deal.

"It could be next week, but it is true that the player wants to come here while the club also is interested in the player," Florentino Perez told Spanish sports daily Marca before adding, "However no deal has been made yet."

Garcia postponed his vacation to the Canary Islands to join his agent in the Spanish capital. Casal traveled Wednesday to seal Valencia's signing of Mario Regueiro, but returned to sort out the future of his other client.

"We hope Florentino continues his interest and we hope the deal can be completed as soon as possible," said Patxi Izco, president of the Pamplona club.

he better be a sub, i saw him play, he is very rough & gets many red cards, gravesen is much better and he should be a starter..........

what i think is luxa is signing some average-2-good players so that he can have a team ready 2 compete 4 all 3 competitions, when any player gets injured/suspended etc. there will always be a good enough backup so that the team doesnt suffer, which is a good plan.........

Real Must Improve Offer For Pablo Garcia
6/28/2005 12:13:00 PM

Real Madrid will have to improve their offer if they are to sign Pablo Garcia from Osasuna.
The Pamplona club have turned down an offer of three million euros plus Mejia for the Uruguayan midfielder, although Osasuna president Patxi Izco is happy to continue talks.

"I hope that this is solved soon for the tranquillity of all. Of the player, of Real Madrid and Osasuna,” he said.

Izco continued that the club was reluctant to sell Pablo Garcia and that was the reason why any offer must be satisfactory for Osasuna.

He added: “The Real Madrid fans will fall in love with him as soon as he plays his first match.”

Haven't any of you seen his cinical side. He really reminds me of Samuel when it comes to fouls, like the red card he got against Betis, when he almost broke Joaquin's leg, but then again he could bring that hunger we need in our aging midfield.
