Strength for shot? Lift weights, and just shoot the ball more and more. If you want to learn how to shoot the ball from outside the 18, then just GET outside the 18 and shoot at the goal, that way you learn power and accuracy at once.
To get under the ball I feel, that if you just take one step and kick (instead of running like 5 or 6 steps then kicking it) ya know? Just plant one foot by the ball and kick the ball up under it (and if you lean alittle it helps you get under it).

ahahah. Yeah, if your coach is able to tell you all that, cant he help you with learning to shoot?
Its pretty simple man.
I used to have a really shit shot, and it all changed through this one little muck around game I used to play to get away from studying. I had a Nike Hard Court ball, and I'd go on my street and constantly just dribble and smack it try to hit this wall. The thing is I had to concentrate on really hitting this good area (height-wise) for the ball not to go over the fence. By the time the next season started I was so confident with long shots.
But yeah, the point is if u find somethin like that, just really repetetive and makes u concentrate on hitting a good spot, it helps heaps

he probly is...my coach said i was better than maradona. :D
You have a state coach... so I can only assume that he has some sort of qualifications that have put him there. So ask him these questions. In addition to power behind the shot, alot comes with technique. Get technique down first - again, ask your coach about this. Get him to go out and do a 1 on 1 training session so he can focus only on you.
And well, PRACTICE!
By the way, if you can dribble through everyone as you say and score a bunch of goals, why would your coach want to change that :s? Anyways, not every striker is a long distance goal scorer. Take Ruud for example; he's pretty well known for getting some "garbage" goals (ie: tap ins), but a goals a goal and the 1 on the score board won't be any different if it was scored from further out.

ok but i know a goal is a goal no matter how u count it but the other teams no i can dribble so they give me space out the box and i cant make the shot from there thats y i wanna learn to shoot from there to be an unstoppable force

Use your laces. It took me forever to get it perfect, (I killed my foot/ankle the first time I tried by hitting my toe on the ground, so I was scared to use my laces again) but the other day, a really good coach from England was watching me shoot and noticed that I only shot with my instep. He asked me, "Can't you shoot with your laces mate?" And I said, "Sorry I'm afraid that I'll hurt myself badly again" But I tried anyways and MAN!... that had power. Even if you think that laces are for losers, they are awesome.

To add along with Holister's post...Your approach to the ball also helps, if you lean, or come from an angle or where you step and things like that effects where (and how) the ball with fly.
