The Games began yesterday in Almeria, Spain, and, in soccer, we're in Group C with Tunisia and Algeria. Both team played to a 2-2 tie and Algeria won in penalty kicks 5-4. We play Tunisia tomorrow and Algeria on Monday.

By the way, Greece-Tunisia 1-1. Arabatzis put Greece ahead, but Tunisians equalised in 2nd half. At the end of the game penalty shootout was instituted. Tunisia won the penalty shootout 5-3.
Next game against Algeria.

Yesterday, we lost to Algeria 1-0. Despite the loss we are the one of the 8 teams that qualified to the quarterfinals, where we will face Turkey. That game will take place on Wednesday.
The football competition of the games included 9 teams, with only one team out of the 9 not making the quartefinals. The team that failed to qualify is Malta.
Here are the quartefinal matchups:
Italy - Spain
Libya - Tunisia
Turkey - GREECE
Algeria - Moroco
TURKEY 1-0 GREECE
Well done to both teams....it was a tightly contested match as usual between to rivals...cafercan of turkey showd some excellent skill and apparently ran rings around the greeks....he also scored the winning goal...a low drive into the back of the net...
