How should I break in synthetic cleats? I have read about soaking leather cleats in warm water and applying vaseline to them. Will this work with synthetic cleats as well? I just want to make sure because if I screw these cleats up I am not getting new ones for a while.

I have adidas predator pulsion 2's btw.

i just wear them or a week, and bend it with my hands

Well water never messes up cleats...They're MADE to play in water. But I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure that Vaseline won't mess up any cleats either.

water definitely causes kangaroo leather to stretch. i would imagine it does the same for calf skin leather, but wear them when you do.

to break in my world cups i wore them and poured water on them and in them and then ran around, and waited until they dried.

yeah but we're talking synthetic here, and water isnt that great for them. Synthetic will stretch minimally, but vaseline and water wont have the same effect, which they have on leather, on synthetic.

In fact, I'd really like to know something which can help wear in synthetic because the Totals I have are a little too tight

so, will water damage them or just not work as well?

"yeah but we're talking synthetic here, and water isnt that great for them."

i dont know if "isnt that great" refers to breaking them in or their overall condition
