I just came to announce it but you did it first. After the dissappointment in the first games of the WC qualifications and some more reasons, Ersun Yanal has been sacked! Even though I think it wasnt good timing in the middle of the WC qualifications.
These are the names in the media:
- Fatih Terim
- Lucescu
- Mustafa Denizli
- Otmar Hitzfield
- Luis Van Gaal
- Guus Hiddink
- Aykut Kocaman
TFF thinking to approach Fatih Terim for games left in WCQ. If Turkey qualifies to WC, they will sign 5 years contract with him. Fatih Terim already said that he wants to continue his carrer aboard. So nobody knows if he is gonna accept the offer.
But personally I would like to see Lucescu! Also Im not sure if we ever had a foreign coach before. I dont think we did!
well its not a suprise but i think it is bad news especially at this time like refeto sed...i personally hope Fatih Terim will replace him...he is a excellent manager and i believe he can be the key to turkey's success and he has alot of experience...

We should get a foreign coach in my opinion.

I do not think that the Turkish FA will select a foreign coach unless the candidate is extremely familiar with the players, and I can not think of such a candidate.
The FA director knows that he has to minimize the risk associated with a foreign manager (CYA move), given that the new coach only has 2 months to prep for the Denmark game.

Turkey is second place in a difficult division, with one loss, and the coach gets sacked. Strange...

I am in favour of this sacking. Ersun Yanal was far too inexperienced and unproven to be the manager of Turkey. I felt sorry for him sometimes because I blame Haluk Ulusoy for making such a bad decision by giving him the job.
It seems as though it will be either Mircea Lucescu or Fatih Terim. I think they are both great but I feel that Fatih Terim might have lost a bit of his hunger. Lucescu is the best foregin manager I have ever seen in Turkey. He is who I want. If we get him, we will beat Ukraine.

Lucescu is such a candidate actually. He is very familiar with the Turkish football. But at the moment it must be Fatih Terim for a short term(for the last games). After that it has to be Lucescu. Alsi I think everybody would like to see Lucescu as a NT coach!
Plato, nobody was happy with him. He is just not enough for Turkish NT. The former federation president gave him the job who was one of the worst president of all time! TFF told him to support the Olympic team in the Meditreanean Games in Spain and he didnt go(If I was him i wouldnt go too), he also didnt attend to a Football Coach's Conferance.
The only thing I dont like about this, Hakan Sukur will be back in the squad.

Fenerbahçe fans started a campaign on their website against Fatih Terim because he was the ex-coach of Galatasaray... Idiots...
Bravo for your message Refeto. I hope that Terim will bring us to Germany. With Ersun Yanal we were only able to beat teams like Kazakhstan, Georgia (although we drawed at home !)... With Terim, I think that we will beat Denmark.

fener supporters ofcourse wouldnt like this decision because now they're gona have to deal w/ us actually winning matches again with a majority of Cimbom players, or ex-Cimbom players, in the squad ;) THANK GOD Hakan is coming back! w/out him it was like watchin fener vs Georgia, vs Albania, vs Ukraine, etc. etc....but w/ Terim I think we're going to see the OBVIOUS best 11 Turkish players in our starting squad:
RUSTU
CiHAN-KORAY-UMiT OZAT-ERGUN PENBE
HAMiT-YILDIRAY-EMRE-AYHAN
HAKAN SUKUR-NECATi
SUBS:
NiHAT, FATiH TEKKE, HASAN KABZE, GOKDENiZ, TUNCAY, ORHAN AK, HALiL ALTINTOP, HASAN SAS, SERKAN BALCI, BULENT, AYKUT ERCETiN?, MAYBE OKAN BURUK OR UMiT DAVALA?? iBRAHiM TORAMAN AND OMER CATKiC

Thanks and Welcome Aslanemre,
Well your line-up looks pretty good but I would go with this:
-------------------Rustu-------------------
Cihan----Koray----Umit Ozat----Ergun Penbe
Serkan----Gokdeniz----Yildiray----Emre Belez.
------------Nihat--------Fatih--------------
I really think Hakan shouldnt be in the line-up because his time is finished! We are trying to have a young team. Dont take is into a you-are-Fener-fan-thats-why-you-dont-want-him thing! I dont care who plays as long as we win! My opinion Hakan is not the one!
PS: You have to know that we dont insult other's teams! Please dont forget that!

I respect your opinion and didnt' mean to offend anyone :p all in good fun bro
let's be honest tho it was like 7 fener players at a time! I realize that Fener makes you as happy a person as Cimbom makes us (ok maybe not quite as much haha) so I hear you and thanks for replying
do you think Serkan is better on the right than Hamit cuz I haven't seen him all that much but I do like Serkan alot...also, I think Emre is better in the central on the left side than wide left midfield and Basturk normally plays right side so that would displace Gokdeniz (who, I think, is also a very good player) so that leaves us w/ need for a wide left player, you agree? and I think right now Ayhan is the best for the job cuz he's young and quick and fiery like Emre (he doesnt take crap from anyone)
how bout Hakan Sukur and Nihat up front? let's see how Hakan performs for the national team then we'll see if his time is up, agreed? I do agree w/ Nihat tho cuz Necati really hasnt shown much for the beyaz-kirmizi but he's still a valuable piece of Turkish football so I think he should be in there somewhere

They selected a domestic coach as expected, given the time constraints.
I can not decide whether it would beneficial to schedule a friendly or not:
the team could use a tune up game using the modified schemes/alignments that the new coach wants using his newer selection of players. At the same time, Terim would be tipping his hand to the Danish coach.
I am leaning towards not having a friendly and using intra-team games closed to the press, not even announcing the starters right before the game, and using the suprise value to maximum effect. Not annoucing the starters also removes the Hakan Sukur debate, which can be a distraction.
i think we have very good players in our turkish NT so we shud all be proud of them whether or not they are playing for GS, FB, TS or Bjk...they are all turks and our countrymen!! :D :D

Why Hakan Suker.

I think so too. I think Fatih Terim will do a good job but I really want to see young players then Hakan Sukur.

yea but trying to develop younger players is exactly wat got us 7 pts behind Ukraine...we need someone tall who can head goals in, and i don't think you can recommend anyone better than Hakan (and he's gota be Turkish! lol)
i still say:
RUSTU
CiHAN-KORAY/iBRAHiM-UMiT OZAT-ERGUN
HAMiT/GOKDENiZ-YILDIRAY-EMRE-AYHAN
HAKAN-NiHAT/NECATi

Im sorry I didnt see this message. Well, I agree on certain points such as Emre playing on the left-center of the midfield and Ayhan playing as a left-winger. About Hakan Im not really sure about that. I mean his ball control is very bad, his long shots and shot accuracy is also very bad. For a striker these are very big minuses. You cant just pick a player because his headers are really good and he has experience. If he had the same abilities as the young names, I would certainly choose him because of his experience. Plus he is not good when the opposition plays a closed-defensive style. Oh also he is not quick. Every time he cant find a way to go though he back passes which kills the attack and opposiotion defence finds a lot of time to close up. Why he back passes because his dribilling abilities are very bad. He cant dribille at all! As we say in Turkish "Eli ayagina karisiyor"... I dont know if I explained my point. What do u think?
about Necati, he is a great player but currently Nihat and Fatih is better then him as you see Fatih as a top scorer. Altough, since Nihat is injured and wont be back for the next 4 months, Necati should be picked up in the first 11 and they might want to try Okan and Zafer.
yer also wen Hakan knows he is beaten he just gives up or falls over...i have just recently seen him chase the ball for once and i was amazed and thought why didnt he play like that earlier...i mean i kno he playd sum excellent football in his carrer but its over...i think necati is tall enuf to take his place and can score sum excellent goals from the corner kicks...also wen umit comes forward is he good at using his head aswell...so we do have tall enuf players out there we just need to use them wisely..

ok i know wat ur saying...i've always said he cant dribble but you see how many goals we would have scored w/ a great header or two? Sukur would be perfect for the style this squad has been playing!
RUSTU
CiHAN-KORAY-UMiT-ERGUN
GOKDENiZ-YILDIRAY-EMRE-AYHAN
FATiH/HAKAN-NECATi
BEST subs:
iBRAHiM TORAMAN, TUNCAY, HAMiT, SERKAN and HASAN (if form comes back)

how many goals we would have scored w/ a great header or two?
....And how many thousands of goal positions he would've missed! Plus we saw how many headers he scored in World Cup 2002. He played in all games he scored only 1 and that was Ilhan Mansiz's doing! Come I know he plays for GS but please you guys thinking too emotional! Like I never say Servet has to play because there is better players to replace him.

Where did I admit that? I said Servet!!
also i think Tuncay has been performing good wen Hakan has been out of the more important matches...he is also superb at headers and crosses that come in through the side...i hope he gets chances to play his finishing is awsm...
