Greek Teams in Europe

[Olympiakos F.C Forever!]

Well this last European campaign wasn't to bad.Actually it was pretty good all around.

Olympiakos-Went out in the 1st round of the CL.then got knocked out of the Uefa Cup by Juventus.All in all a dissapointing year for them,especially after making it to the Quater Finals just a year ago.

AEK Athens-Went out in the qualifying round of the CL.There team in the beginning was pretty bad,and they have rebuilt pretty good.But they had an pretty good run in the Uefa Cup making it to the 3rd round.

PAO-Did a nice job in the Uefa Cup also makeing it to the 3rd round.

PAOK-Barly got knocked out in the 2nd round of the Uefa Cup.They are 5x stronger this year!

Aris-also knocked out in the 2nd round.

Ionikos-A pretty bad team.They went out in the 1st round.

Now for nest year this is how it looks:

CL-Olympiakos
---Panathinaikos

Uefa Cup-AEK
---------OFI
---------PAOK
---------Either Aris or Iraklis.

CL-I say Olympiakos make a strong run.PAO is going to struggle a bit because of a coaching change and losing some players.

UCup-AEK and PAOK are going to make strong runs most likely no less than 4th round.Aris is most likely going to get knocked out in the 2nd round.

Well thats a little summary of the greek league.

Don't underestimate Panionios... they are in the playoffs too.

Hey Tony how are u doing man? Good to see u in here.I just joined the Kalamata Forum.I also like your Web Page on Greek Soccer.

Anyway I do agree Panionios are not out but,I don't see them overpowering Aris and Iraklis.And Kalamata,I really hope they can get a Intertoto spot.That would be great!
