JURGEN GJASULA

Between Albania and Germany,
I will choose …….?????

Born in Albania, immigrated when he was five years old with his family, raised in Germany, still speaks fluent Albanian.. “I am Albanian blood and I will always be. I just came back from Albania. I went there with my father to visit my homeland and my relatives”- explained the Kaiserslautern’s future star. His father, the nephew of Gani Merja and Skender Halili has much to say about their soccer tradition in the Tirana’s family. Kindly, the youngster spent few minutes via-phone with ALBANIASOCCER.COM, to talk about his situation in the foreign land, which has become his home. “I enjoy the time here. I have adapted and I feel very comfortable, as well as my family”. His parents, probably knew right after their son was born, he may be a good soccer future star. They named him after Klinsman, the German soccer icon in 80-es and 90-es, Germany’s national team coach at the moment. “No, I doubt it. It’s just a coincidence. Our names sound the same, but are spelled differently. I asked myself few years back the same question and my father with a smile explained the no-relation between.”

After he played at youth Freiburg, his contract was bought from Kaiserslautern at the start of last season. Freiburg appealed and Kaiserslautern had chosen to pay up to 100.000 Euro to have the Albanian talent in their team. They won. He played as a substitute in few matches this year hoping to change his role to a starter. “After the last match of Bundesliga this year, my coach promised he will give me one of the starting role positions next season. So, I am looking forward to it.

The team signed the other Albanian midfielder, Ervin Skela, who together with Jurgen can be one of the most potential duos in midfield that Bundesliga has seen.

Jurgen, is considered from German soccer experts “The Germany’s future”. Should we hope he will be Albania’s future or should we be proud he is considered Germany’s shining star?. “I am flattered about the opinions most of the specialists have expressed. In the mean time, it’s too early for me to decide. I am in the start of my soccer carrier and I haven’t reach a conclusion yet”.

Officially, Jurgen had offers from both, Germany’s U-19 and Albania “A” team. “When Germany U-19 put my name on the list, my coach at Freiburg at that time, didn’t let me take part with the selection. I couldn’t do anything about it. Also, Axel Ross had contacted me few times to consider playing for Albania National team. Not to forget few executives from Albania Federation, as well as Altin Lala who plays for Hannover”.

As, his new president calls him the young Michael Ballack, Albanian sensation is expected to have the year of recognition in soccer.

We, at ALBANIASOCCER.COM, wish Jurgen the very best. We will be very happy to see him play for Albania, but at the same time we will be very proud of him if he decides to play for the 3 time World Champions, Germany.

yes when kosovo gets independence it wont make it albania.....and it will take some time to unite with albania since most of the population of albania and kosovo want to unite....but we have 1 national team and 1 flag...
anyways this was my last post on this topic concerning kosovo-albania

I think the fact that the language is albanian may not be of any significance to the people that are just soo curious about albanian soccer. Its funny they do not want to get political, on the other hand i am amazed at how much albanian soccer forum attracts their interest. Hell, Serbian soccer doesnt attract me, and they have a stronger league than the Albanians as far as i know (although still the same shit).

The irony in these posts is unbelievable. These nimrods think they can mock something which in actuality is expression of their own ignorance....cause after all, they wouldn't know anything about players from Kosovo playing for the Albanian national team. Yet i comend them for coming here to learn more (to make this the reason, rather than "starting fires" in the forum). Not only do they come to the Albanian soccer threads - "to be active in the forums" lets say....they also take the time to check out the links about a topic that doesnt relate to them (albaniansoccernews or wahtever it was)....and not only that, but they decide to give their two cents on whatever it is they read. Thank you. how would we do it without you?

Well, my knowledge-hungry slavic friends, who decide to respond to these posts before the albanians. Considering what the topic was about, and what you have pointed out, certainly shows - that you want to stay out of politics and discuss soccer. Good use of the double standard ladies.

And if the obove reasons arent enough why Albanians include players from Kosova or Kosovo as you guys call it (not that it makes a difference), i think a more simplified answer for you would be - Because They Can!

also you are startin a political arguement aswel cos you know people will react to it!!!!

please just stay out of it cos kosovo is in dispute between serbia-albania and not italy as far a i am aware

now can we finish it now and let the albanians finish on talking about that player because i know serbs get really pissed of when we start a thread and nearly everyone turns into a political arguement!! :rolling:

I am pointing out that the nations have leagues that are not of anyones interst due to the level of competition overall (as in comparison to the big 3 or 4). What would attract me to the albanian league were I not to be albanian? Nothing at all.

I am not so sure you still understand what i am trying to point out.

Politics i am not going to have with you. As a matter of fact, it is enough, having to respond to somone who already knows the reasons as to why kosovo is there. And although i don't mind your wishful thinking, but your provokatiosn have no justification within the thread. And on top of that, you are hipocritically coming with your "lets not get into politics" specifically for that. And its quite obvious to anyone here. You can't get political here. You haven't said anything worth arguing over, your are very far from your dreams becoming a reality.

You and your compatriot were the first to turn this thread into politics.
And, do you think you know what has happened and is happening in Kosovo. Maybe you do. But I have met Serbs that think that the ethnic cleansing in '99 and the killings and everything else the serbs military did was just a fiction created by the media.
Do you believe it?
I wouldn't be surprised if you would say yes.

Hey I just had a look at your albania soccer site...not bad, but why is kosovo in there as well..??
It is true that politically and administratively Kosovo is not Albania. BUT it is also true that Kosovo is not part of Serbia anymore, and NEVER will be. There is a Kosovo football league also.
In a way you are right. Maybe it would make more sense to have a separate forum for Kosovo. But still i don't see it as a big deal that it is part of the Albanian forum, especially since Kosovars and Albanians are OK with it.

I wouldn't care at all if you opened a sub-forum for kosova soccer under Serbian forum. I am pretty sure that there would be no kosovars or albanians posting there about soccer, and it would be just serbs talking there. Therefore it would only have the name kosovo but in fact wouldn't be.

Ok pals. Clear this thing out of this forum. I don't need any such discussion here. This is a soccer forum and I haven't seen anyone talk about soccer in a while. Please read the rules cause last time I checked ethnic offenses are not allowed.

Take care and enjoy yourselves, but keep your noses for yourselves as well.

Peace.
