is beat a team that hasn't won a game, Italy? Sounds sort of like the
last gold cup when all we had to do was beat Cuba? Canada will get the

Bad habit lately and also often flatters the opponent, except for the last Colombia game where the score flattered us although a lot of people are touting Colombia to win it all.

Columbia seem to be the team to beat. But with sportsnet only showing
the Canadian games it hard to judge the rest of the teams.

I think he knew that Colombia was simply a better team than us and if we tried to run and gun with them we stood a good chance of getting killed. There have been some pretty severe scores at this WYC. The idea was to keep goal differential down.

If that's what he did it's like what the old Russian hockey teams would do in the 70s/80s. Set themselves up for the best matchups in the semifinals. If you had to go in the tank to do it, so be it.

Maybe I'm giving Mitchell too much credit but this guy has experience at all levels and internationally as well. He's pretty savvy. We played a damn good game against silver medalist Spain at the last WYC.

I just hope we beat Italy to shove it in the face of one certain Euro snob. If we win it's 1-0.

I don't look at Vs much. As someone at BS said it's different from a few years ago. Not the same at all since the days of Net54. Our best players then were at Bristol City, Darlington and Germinal Ekeren. Times have changed. I just scan for news at Vs now. Don't read much else there.

hmmmmmm, it's going to be a very close game. Italy hasn't won Canada neither. Canada only lost 2-0 vs Colombia but it could have been worst, Colombia was all over Canada during the entire game, posession was 75:25 for Colombia. Yes Italy lost to Syria 2-1 while Canada tied 1-1 but still I think the Italians are a better team but we will see.

There were a few reasons we got murdered by a very poor Italian side,
poor goalkeeping, poor offence,poor coaching and an overall lack of
effort by the players. Well there always 2007 when we will get thumped
again only this time at home.
