I got the World Cups today. They have everything i wanted the Copa's to have. Black bottom of the shoe, great on top of the ball feel, better tounge.

They're incredibly tight on my foot and i gotta break em in. :)

Those World Cups look better every time I see them, I love the red-strip on the bottom, gives them a sort of style.

How long did it take for them to start breaking in?

you know, it's funny you ask that, because the world cups are actually about a centameter smaller than the copas. oddly enough that little amount matters, and i mean my copas were painful to break in, but these were close to twice as bad, and they're not even fully broken in yet. my dad has the same sized foot as me, a little bit differently shaped, and he doesn't understand how i can play in my copas. people have to realize kangaroo leather stretches a full size! so when you initially get your shoe, yeah, it's gunna be a bit painful. did i just throw them on and put up with the pain, heck no. i wore them the first day as long as i could, the second as long as i could, STARTING OUT BAREFOOTED LET ME MIND YOU. the sock does occupy space. it can't be said how long it can take because it depends on how much you play in a day. When i first got these world cups my toes were curled, and i know they say don't do that with a shoe, but it stretches a whole size. nothing could conform to my foot any better than this kangaroo leather adidas. simple as that. now i have a shoe perfectly formed to my foot. just try stuff on and ask yourself will this shoe stretching a full size feel comfortable to my foot? when you kick a soccer ball you want a nice compacted shoe around your foot. you don't want a huge floppy shoe dangling around for the simple fact that you want it close to the end of your toes as possible. when you kick with the top of your foot you need to get your toes close to the ground, any extra shoe is going to cause you to kick the ground and throw your shot off. so yes, it's more than painful, its excruciating. wear them as much as you can at first ease into it, and if you do that and play or practice every day it should take about two weeks for them to be fully broken in, in my studies at least, with the copa and world cup.

see now tomorrow, i have a friend i just got involved in soccer. he has the pulsions. he still has to break his shoes in. he's only played in them once for a few hours so far. he's still going to be in pain for a while, until he plays in them for about a total of 50 hours.

something else that did seem to loosen them up slightly is pouring a little water on the top of the toe of the shoe. not in the shoe or all over the shoe. but just on the toes, until you can feel your toes get a little wet. that helped too.

keep in mine i've been wearing these world cups for as long as i can every day now for about 4 days, today i was only able to wear them for about two hours total. i have them on now without any socks and i'm not feeling enough pain to have to take them off. i broke them in pretty good today with a thicker soccer sock on for about 30 minutes, now they fit perfectly bare footed. HAPPY!!!

the pain was so bad for me i was worried i might have to take them back.

now lets hope they last a long time. cause i really don't want to have to break a shoe in like that again. twice was bad enough.

Yea my Vapors were killer to break in, but if you persist in breaking them in, then they'll be there in no-time.
