Juventus will consider letting Marcelo Zalayeta leave the club in search of regular football.
The Turin giants paid a big fee for the Uruguayan striker, but he has never quite made the grade for Bianconeri.
Zaleyeta has now asked the club to consider letting him leave - and general manager Luciano Moggi admitted that, at the very least, a loan would be considered.
"[Zalayeta] has asked me to leave to have the possibility to play regularly," said Moggi.
"He cost us €30 million so we would probably only consider a loan and sale."
Despite his assertions, Moggi has admitted the Juve will have to sell to buy this summer - and a decent sized bid could well tempt them. Zalayeta scored important goals for the club last season when injuries hit their regular strikers, and it is not unfeasible that someone will take a gamble on the South American marksman.
