I have heard from some Hajduk fans that Kranjcar is overrated. They don't believe he's worth all of the attention he commands. In other words, they say he generates a lot of hype. Still, I certainly hope they're wrong. His goal against Bulgaria was fantastic and he set up another. Still, it probably goes without saying that he likely needs to leave Croatia if he wants to develop to his full potential.

Niko certainly has the talent, but has been struggling with fitness. He got pretty tubby at Dinamo and hence was really slow and did nothing off the ball.

Still, his vision and control are second to none in the cro team, except maybe Darijo Srna.

Debrecen won the game fair and square Hajduk got what was coming for them i suppose, But lets not forget when ever a player shines in Croatia he is sold quicker than he can make an impact for his own club......down time for Miroslav "ciro" Blazevic, he better get the kolac in the face treatment when he gets back.

lol they shouldn't sell a player immediately when he shines....that is ur problem! Here in Bulgaria the biggest teams Levski, Cska Sofia,Litex and Lokomotiv Plovdiv have so many great talents that are being watched and wanted by Bayer Leverkusen, Shalke, Inter, Chelsea....but the players are between the age of 17-19 and the clubs are willing to keep them until they gain some more experience and raise their value! This way the football in the country gets better and earns more money of the transfers!

It is very frustrating to repeatedly see Hajduk win the national championship and then enter Champions League qualifying with a team that is dramatically different from the one that won the league. Like everything else in life... it all boils down to good management. Clearly, the inability to retain good players, even for an extra year or two, is a sign of poor management. Surely we can't be so poor that even smaller clubs are able to snap up our players? Okay everyone, let's take up a collection!

Well za dva godine nije ti dinamo kurac ucinijo....Hajduk fails in CL thats got nothing to do with HNL.....And yes you did face relegation....In history from 1911 Hajduk have been better than Dinamo.

Man im glad im not a dinamo fan because if a club falls down so low in a league with such weaker clubs thats a huge shame :lol: no matter what Hajduk will still beat Dinamo next time they play

I see there is no reason debating with you 'cause you don't understand some things. To play and face are diferent things, my friend. Dinamo played in relegation group but to say they faced relegation is stupid 'cause it means that they fight to stay out of relegation. Zadar, Pula and Medjimurje faced relegation, Dinamo, Kamen and Osijek only played in relegation group 'cause they had enough points to stay out of relegation since the relegation group league started (after 22 regular rounds). Not to say how those 3 clubs sold matches to Medjimurje and Zadar who were fighting till the end to avoid relegation, lol.
Like Dinamo, lost to Medjimurje and then in last round vs zadar gave them 7 goals ('cause we don't like them,and hajduk aswell :D ) and Zadar got relegated, Medjimurje needs to pay debts towards us this season (6 easy points for us, vs hajduk they will play hard,trying to win - this is how it works in here :D )

I don't think even a win against Dinamo is enough to remove the foul taste out of my mouth that the Debrecen disaster has left... for me, finishing first in Croatia is only a stepping stone for playing in Europe -- if Hajduk can't compete there, I'm not sure I can get interested. It's like following an NHL team that consistently makes the playoffs but always crashes and burns in the first round -- it's devastating to their fans. I'd feel better if I knew the club's management was intent on doing something about it but I sense they're a bunch of pretenders too.

I dont care if you support Dinamo, Inter, Varteks or whoever, this is a very bad day for our league. Its a relic to the communist era and needs changes, hopefully this will bring in those new changes. Im starting a thread and i want to know what you guys to post there what youd like to see happen to our league and savez in general. This campaign was disappointing and we cannot go on like this.

I couldn't agree more Davor. Surely this must be a reflection of the fact that Croatia has not yet sufficently distanced itself from its communist past. All this "arranging" rather than open, honest, above-the-board and accountable management at both the club and league level. Croatian soccer, like Croatian society as a whole I suspect, badly needs reform. I am admittedly an outsider -- like most of us in this forum -- but this is painful to watch. I remain amazed that the national team is so competitive in spite of the mess at home.
