EXPOSED: He'll sign new Madrid deal

Becks' OK to £100m

By Rob Beasley

DAVID BECKHAM is in line to pick up massive earnings of £100MILLION in the next four years.

England's captain is set to cash in courtesy of a new four-year deal with Real Madrid, which will be agreed during the summer.

Beckham will meet Madrid bosses next month and be told he can expect little or no rise on his current £90,000-a-week, tax-free wages.

But they will entice him to see out his career at the Bernabeu by allowing him a far bigger cut of his merchandising and image rights.

That means his annual earnings of £17m will rocket through the £20m barrier and could go as high as £25m.

Delighted Beckham, 30, told me: "My future is certain and secure. I am staying at Real Madrid. In July, I will start negotiations about a new contract with a view to finishing my career at the club."

Beckham is in a powerful position after a huge surge in merchandising sales at Real.

In his first year at the club, receipts jumped from £127m to £156m. That £29m increase is £4m more than Madrid paid to Manchester United to sign him.

Linking

Beckham's worldwide popularity has also persuaded kit sponsors adidas to carry on their agreement to 2012.

His decision to extend his Real deal will finally put an end to speculation linking him with a return to England.

Becks added: "There have been rumours I am coming back to Arsenal or Chelsea. But I am staying at Real Madrid and the sooner people realise that, the better."

Yup... its solari. They do pick on Becks alot. Atleast they hugged at the end :D Iker and Becks play around alot. I read in an article that Owen is not as close to the other players as Becks is.

...First of all he has taken a while to fit in socially. It took him three months to get those language season and there still not there, so he hasn't had the level of friendship that he could get out of the players...-Guillem Balague.

He has started up 3 academies with his own money in various parts in the world. London, Los Angeles, and coming soon...Asia. He is also paying for the first 25 kids to sign up for each. That is quite a bit of money, considering admittance to the LA academy was 500.00 USD.

Becks is actually improving a bit every match, hope he continue like that so he can be back into his old shape....

And I wouldn't get rid of Guti, he's one of the mosr valuable players in Real along with Solari, they're good enough to be starters yet humble enough to sit on the bench without making a rampage in the media....

a but he doesnt have the capablity to lead the team, raul is the true king, and guti is said to be the forgotten prince, carlos is the royal guard, beckham is the pretty boy Duke, ronaldo is the king's fat brother, Cassillas is beckham's wife, and may have been having an affair withthe nobleman Solari, Prez is raul's bitch, lol, and so on and so on, lol

I think he means the ream Raul....and it's understandable, he's not a Madrilista.....(no offense Becks), see most non-Madrilistas hate him and think he's overated, and most Madrilistas love him and think of him as a hero.....

I strongly support Madrid, and I understand that Raul represents the entire tradition and history of the club...That said...

Raul has been quoted as saying that if it betters the club with him leaving, then so be it, he will gladly leave. Also, Liverpool has made a bid on him and are looking to do quite a bit to sign him. Raul has yet to rule out a transfer to Pool.

Lance Knight
06-08-2005, 07:37 PM
actually Raul has said in an interview that he doesnt want to go to england, he said his future is here in spain,

so i guess that qualifies of him ruling out a move to liverpool or england

Raul rejects Reds rumours

by Peter ORourke - created on 6 Jun 2005

Raul has rejected reports that he could leave Real Madrid for Liverpool this summer.

Reports over the weekend suggested that Raul could become the latest Spanish star to make his way to Anfield to join Rafa Benitez's European champions.

It was suggested that Benitez wanted to team Raul up again with former Real team-mate Fernando Morientes in a new look attack for next season.

Raul endured a disappointing season with Real last term by his own high standards and rumours of a moves for new strikers such as Robinho and Adriano have raised doubts over Raul's long-term future at El Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spanish international has previously claimed he would quit Real if the club made it clear he was surplus to requirements.

However, Raul has moved to quash the speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool suggesting it would be complicated for him to move on.

“I’m not thinking about playing in England," said Raul.

"My future is in the Spanish league. It would be very complicated for me to go there.”

However, he has been at their Training HQ quite a bit within the past 6 months.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is planning a shock bid for Real Madrid captain and talisman Raul.

Benitez is aiming to take advantage of Raul's testy relationship with Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo by offering a guaranteed starting place at Anfield.

The Sun says Benitez is lining up a sensational £15million bid for the Spanish superstar.

The Liverpool boss wants Raul, who made FOUR private visits to Anfield last season, to spearhead his Kop revolution.

The Real Madrid and Spain captain even watched a Reds training session on one trip.

Raul said: "After 11 years here I want what's best for the club. If at some time I have to sacrifice myself in order for the team to progress, then I will do."

"If the club calls you up and says you have to go, then as a player you have to be prepared to look for a way out that benefits everyone."

"If I listen to the polls in some papers, it looks as though I should leave now. I still feel useful to the club and believe I haven't reached my peak, but I don't want to be in the way. All I want is for the club to be clear with me."

The article you posted was dated i think june 4, mine was june 6. In response to that june 4 article Raul said “I’m not thinking about playing in England," (on the june 6 article)

He talked to ABC's Enrique Ortego and he said that if it's necessary, he would sacrifice himself for the team.

Right after Florentino called him and told him Real Madrid will be built around him and Iker Casillas because they're the home grown talent and the real images of Real Madrid.

And i agree that Raul was just visiting Moro at Anfield
